Okie Dokie Island is an Canadian-American animated television series created by Jim Jinkins for Nickelodeon. The show focuses a dim-witted starfish, a brave dinosaur and four penguins end up during the castaway into an unknown island inhabited by unusual creatures, a wise Egyptian woman and an evolved, malign being of bacterian origin. It premiered on June 21, 1993.

Characters[]

  • Small Starfish (voiced by Billy West): A dim-witted, brave and funny starfish and the main protagonist of the series.
  • Dino (voiced by Frank Welker): A heroic, brave and short-tempered dinosaur who acts as the deuteragonist of the series.

  • André Van Coconut (voiced by Billy West)

  • Hebecky (voiced by Sally Struthers): A 40-year-old parrot who is Polly, Mike and Chucky's mother and Wallace's (presumably) ex-husband.
  • Polly (voiced by Christine Cavanaugh): A 6-year-old parrot who is the daughter of Hebecky.
  • Grandpa and Grandma Greenbird (voiced by Joe Alaskey and Angela Lansbury): Hebecky's parents and Polly, Mike and Chucky's grandparents.
  • Pepey (voiced by Clancy Brown): The main antagonist of the series. He is the alien-like creature who threating to destroy Okie Dokie Island in order to build the big museum.
  • Leela (voiced by Melanie Chartoff): Pepey's girlfriend and later wife. She acts as the secondary antagonist of the series.
  • Ghosts (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker): A band of various species of ghosts who lives in a mansion in the Forbidden Islands to plans revenge on anyone else for stealing their son, Kirby. They are also one of the main antagonists of the show.
  • Mike (voiced by Debi Derryberry): A 8-year old parrot who is the son of Hebecky and Polly's brother.
  • Chucky (voiced by Kath Soucie): A 9 1/2-year old parrot who is the son of Hebecky and Polly and Mike's brother.
  • Anti-Small (voiced by Paul Newman): A cruel little starfish who one of Small Starfish's enemies. He is the anti-double of Small Starfish.
  • Momma & Pappa Dino (both are voiced by Frank Welker): Dino's parents. After the war, they search for his son, Dino and return to them.
  • Wallace (voiced by Jack Riley): A 50-year old parrot who is the husband of Hebecky and the father of Polly, Mike and Chucky. He is eaten by the crocodiles and killed before the events of the series, but in the film, he rises out as a ghost and brought back to life.
