The North American kiwi is a species of kiwi that lives in grasslands, forests, and swamps of North America, but unlike other kiwi species, it can survive in cities, towns, urban areas, and surburbs. It can also learn to tolerate human activities, so unlike any other kiwis, it is not endangered of going extinct. It resembles a New Zealand kiwi.
