Metrocop Cycle (Cantonese: 都市警察週期 Jyutping: dou¹ si⁵ ging² caat³ zau¹ kei⁴) is a 2007 English-language Hong Kong short military science fiction thriller film written and directed by Amelie McCullough in her directorial debut.

The short begins with the male citizen arriving in City 17 from the train and having his daily life there, only for it to end with the Civil Protection brutality, loss of electrical privileges and denial of food supplies. As a result, he is forced to live in the slums.

Having contemplated on joining the union, the male citizen is the recruited into the Civil Protection, becoming a Metrocop in the process. During his career and duties in City 17, he reaps the benefits, beats and kills the citizens, and starts losing his humanity. As the reign of the Combine starts to increase, the Metrocop goes under a plastic surgery, becomes a Combine soldier and goes on his duty in killing rebels.

After a shot of Combine soldiers listening to Dr. Wallace Breen's address on the Overwatch, the short ends with the soldier being faced by Gordon Freeman holding his crowbar.
