Metalman is a 2009 Superhero action film produced by Blumhouse Productions and directed by Michael Bay. It stars the Rock as the main character, Richie Gómez. It's also the first film in the Pink Glass Cinematic Universe, a Franchise based off the comics of the fictional company Pink Glass.

- Dwayne Johnson as Richie Gómez/Metalman, a former spy of the American Government who was injected with a special mix of cells that gave him superhuman strength and caused his bones to become literally metal, making them unbreakable.
- Jamie Fox as Agent Fiztgerald, an agent of the United States encharged to give Richie his memory back in order to become Metalman once again.
- Christopher Walken as Patrick Kingsley/Orangutan. A Vietnam Veteran and a doctor who, tired of being shadowed by Metalman. Decides to experiment with the cells that were injected to Richie, however, something goes wrong and he becomes a deformed, fiery beast similar to an Orangutan.
- Lupita Nyong'o as Michaela Ruggan. Apparently, Richie's former lover and fellow agent of the United States. She's given the name "Woodpecker" due to the fact that she prefers white weapons to guns.

Synopsis.[]
Francisco Herrero/Richie Gómez, as he was used to be called is a farmer from the peaceful village of Santaella, Spain. When he returns to his house one day, after a long day of work and chasing a hare who had been eating all his harvest, also showing amazing fighting skills, he sits on his couch and prepares to watch TV.
Menahwile, in a secret base of the United States in the middle of Grand Canyon, Dr. Patrick Kingsley chats with Michaela Ruggan about how they're trying to bring 'Metalman' back, talking about how he used to be. The boss walks in and tell them to start working, Patrick goes off to his lab to begin working on his special project, replicating the formula that they used to give Richie superhuman abilities. Meanwhile, Agent Fiztgerald is sent to pick up Richie.
Back in Spain, Fiztgerald goes to Richie's new house to bring him back, however, when Richie discovers him lurking in the kitchen, he quickly begins to fight with him, having a flashback in the middle of the fight about his former life and how he was going to be experimented with which distracts him, Fiztgerald takes this as a chance to knock Richie out and bring him to his car.
Meanwhile, Patrick injects the mix of cells he's created and begins to vomit as he starts growing hair in his back uncontrollably, meanwhile, Richie is forced to watch old recordings of his old times as Metalman, while still thinking that it's impossible that he's the guy in the screen. Then he remembers it all, Richie goes to shower but he's greeted by Michaela, who tells him that they were a couple back then, they discuss and Richie leaves to shower.
Next day, Agent Fiztgerald calls Richie to tell him that he must stop a terrorist attack on the Empire State, after a fight ontop of the building, the fight escalates to a nearby harbor, then into a boat. Richie manages to punch the boat in half and the Terrorists are caught. Meanwhile, in Patrick's lab, he is operated by his lab assistant, Nathalie due to all the deformations he's been through, he's now incredibly large and hairy, his face is deformed, long and greyish and every part of his body seems to be flammable. When Patrick sees the results of the operations, he brutally tries to murder Nathalie. But Fiztgerald and Michaella arrive just in time to stop him and lock him inside a special cell, also taking Nathalie to a hospital. Richie also tries to intervene, but finds that the others have arrived before him.
Richie and Michaella have a fight over why they should've killed Patrick, due to the danger that he represents to the world. After this, Richie questions if his life was better before or after knowing that he was Metalman, meanwhile, in the special contaimnent cell, Patrick, now fully turned into Orangutan. Manages to set himself on fire without damaging his cells, and break sets on the fire alarm, the guards guarding his cell run away due to the fire alarm and he escapes, raiding the building. Orangutan escapes and travels through Grand Canyon, wanting to get to Phoenix to cause havoc. However, Fiztgerald and Michaella try to slow him down by using planes and firing missiles at him. Richie returns, having decided that running away from things is never good, he chases and fights Orangutan through the Grand Canyon, until both end up at the edge of an extremely large cliff. After a couple of punches, both Richie and Orangutan fall down and are buried in rubble, Orangutan dies but Richie manages to survive thanks to Michaella, who had helped him when he fell down. Richie, Michaella and Fiztgerald return to the base, where Richie is healed up.
Post-Credits Scene.[]
In the post-credits scene, we see Nathalie being taken to the hospital, her daughter, Lynn, visits her and brings her flowers and a small wooden figure of a butterfly, revealing that Lynn is gonna be the next hero, Butterfly.
