Maxwell Lloyd (born September 23, 1983), known professionally as Recess, is an American electronic music producer and DJ. He first gained international recognition in 2014 when he was noticed by EDM producer and songwriter Skrillex. Months prior to this, Maxwell had been remixing multiple songs produced by the artist. In 2017, Maxwell had stopped making remixes of well-known songs and instead, chose to create his own.
His debut studio album, Kickball, was released in December 2017, which included his lead and debut single "Spraypaint".
