- Kim Director as Alex Wright - A Goth-Paranormal detctive who during the series is often hired by people or agencies to solve their paranormal problems, she is often described as a calm, serious and dark person.
- Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Dennis Hadnley - A young girl who feels attraction to dark and paranormal things, she is often following and spying Alex in her work.
- Briana Evigan as Bobby Buck - A young student and Alex best friend, she often helps her in her cases.
- Dermott Downs as Alex father - he only appears on flashbacks and in some scences, Alex often says that he was killed by an unknown strange source of evil, thats why she decides tu turn into a paranormal detective.
- Emily Booth as Cristina Rose - Nothing much is known about this character, she is also described as dark and mysterious, she often appears in the chapters.
- Jeremy Sisto as The Man - A mysterious character who uses a black and white mask, he is always wearing black clothes and a dark coat, his character reasembles Rorschach from the comic series Watchmen.
- Dani Filth as Leon Kennedy - A well known hero that worked for the US secret service, he is just despited at "Him" in early episodes, he is a really close friend to Alex, later in the second season both of them marry.
