Lorcan Darcy is the 2024 American psychological superhero science fiction thriller film directed by Lars Klevberg with Kimberly Peirce co-directing. Produced by Blumhouse Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, the film is written by Barbara Curry, Isabelle Nuru Dayne, Lawrence D. Cohen and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The film is a crossover and sequel of both Cillian Darcy and Lena the Jungle Girl. It's also the third installment of the Origin film series. It stars Nick Robinson as the titular character and Kevin Bacon as the main antagonist alongside Kiernan Shipka, Camila Mendes, Levi Miller, Coubie Smulders, Jason Issacs, Matt Smith, Hugh Jackman and Mädchen Amick as main characters with Lucy Hale, James McAvoy, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Madelaine Petsch and Hailee Steinfeld reprise their roles from the second film.

Premise

The story follows Lorcan Darcy, a high school student, orphan and sole train survivor, discovers he has superpowers, and how he comes to the realization that a famed superhero, who was thought to have gone missing after an epic battle eighteen years ago, may in fact still be around and happens to be his biological father, in conjunction with Mayor James Benedict's plot for global domination.

Plot

Main Plot

In the year 2000, there was a huge all-out war between good and evil in the valley of the beast. All of heroes are either dead or went MIA in battle, especially Cillian Darcy. However, he was afraid that his fiancée Emily Pond will know that he's dead. He made a choice and return to New York to check on her. He arrived to Emily's apartment. He explains her that Marissa Mayne, their close friend, was died from giving birth to a baby boy. When Emily was asleep, Cillian decided to give up heroing and prepare to get married in the next day, but he couldn't sleep because he was afraid to tell Emily that the baby boy's actually his biological son.

In the year 2018, Lorcan, a high school senior living in Brooklyn with his foster parents Kevin and Amy and his brothers Mikey, Lloyd and Andrew, is the sole, completely unharmed survivor of a train crash which kills 130 others. Lorcan has been suffering from nightmares about his biological parents' death and has been seeing psychiatrist Amy to treat him.
