Background[]
In 2030, Victoria announced that she signed a 7-year deal with Republic Records. In October 2030, during an Instagram live session, she said that she had already started working on her ninth album and that she had "a few songs that I can't wait to share with you guys".
She later said in an interview that "I've spent so many sleepless nights writing this album and every single one of those nights were completely worth it" and that "This album is my most personal yet, almost like a journal of sorts". She also said she had recorded 24-30 songs for the album and was still deciding what would make the cut.
In January 2031, Victoria announced that the lead single would be titled No More Sunlight and will feature Hailee Steinfeld. It was released on April 18, 2031. The second single, titled It's Different This Time was announced shortly after the release of the first single. It features Taylor Swift and was released on September 19, 2031.
