List of Vixen Characters

This is a list of characters that appear in Caldafox's Franklin the turtle fanfictions.

Original[]

Vixen[]

Vixen is a fanmade character created by Caldafox. She is a red fox with black ears, a fluffy tail, and a tufted hair on her forehead. She is quite outgoing, playful, friendly and chatty in her early years, but is shyer as a teenager. She is best friends with Fox.

She moves several times in the series.
She dislikes playing hide-and-seek.
She is older than most of her friends.
Vixen is a good goalie.

Fox[]

Fox is a character in Franklin. He is a red fox with brown ears and paws and a small tufted hair on his forehead. He is sneaky, outgoing and playful. Him and Vixen are best friends. He enjoys playing games and hanging out with friends.

Trivia[]

Often times, in Franklin and in Vixen, he served as a minor annoyance/antagonist for short periods of times.
He gave Vixen most of her nicknames.
He is dating Badger.

Franklin[]

Franklin is the central main character in Franklin (duh). He is a green turtle with a red cap and yellow and tan shell. He is curious, playful and friendly, but sometimes gets annoyed easily. He is best friends with Bear, and in Vixen, he is a good friend of the titular character.

He has a little sister named Harriet, who has no mentions in Vixen.
He is dating Otter as a teenager.
He is the only Franklin character not named after their species.
Franklin's nickname is Speedy.

Beaver[]

Beaver is a character in Franklin, one of Franklin's close friends. She is a female beaver. She can be a bit self-centered and braggy, but is also spunky, playful and outgoing.

She has a little brother named Kit, who has no mentions in Vixen.
Beaver is good at playing the piano, and bike-riding.

Bear[]

Bear is a character in Franklin. He is Franklin's best friend. He is a brown bear. Bear is playful, observant and gives good advice to Franklin, serving as a positive influence for him. He also loves to eat, and is smart.

Goose has a crush on him.
Bear has a little sister named Beatrice, who is Harriet's best friend. She does not appear in Vixen.
He wears a blue vest when he is a bit older.
For a time, his nickname was "Snacks", until he stepped in and put a stop to it.

Rabbit[]

Rabbit is a character in Franklin. He is a tan rabbit. He is outgoing, spunky and sometimes braggy. He is a good jumper and learner.

His nickname is Springer, because of his jumping skills.
He is dating Beaver.
He is Fox's other best friend.
His aunt teaches tuba lessons and yells a lot.

Goose[]

Goose is a character in Franklin. She is a female Canada goose. She is playful, but can also be shy and slightly less keen than her friends, at times. She is sweet and kind.

Badger[]

Badger is a character in Franklin. She is a female badger. She uses crutches to get around. She is more shy than her friends and hangs out with Beaver, Skunk and Goose most of the time.

Raccoon[]

Raccoon is a character in Franklin who does not appear as often. He is a brown raccoon with a dark mask around his face and a long, bushy ringed tail. He is curious, outgoing and playful. He is a good friend of Vixen and they enjoy playing together.

His favorite color is purple.
His mom, Mrs. Raccoon, is one of the only characters' mothers to physically appear in Vixen.
He only appears in a few episodes of both Franklin and Vixen.

Skunk[]

Skunk is a character in Franklin. She is an odorless female striped skunk. She usually keeps to herself. She is good friends with Beaver, Goose and Badger.

She is also good friends with Vixen's sister.
Vixen lives near her old house.
She is usually a goalie on the school team, but sometimes plays out.

Snail[]

Snail is a character in Franklin. He is a purple snail with a yellow and tan shell. He is friendly, talktive, and curious, and sometimes adamant in his decisions.

He is the youngest of Franklin's friends.
He often hitches a ride on one of his friends' backpacks (or in Franklin's case, shell) because he is much smaller than them.

Mr. Owl[]

Mr. Owl is a reoccurring character in Franklin. He is a great-horned owl. He is a friendly and concerned teacher, often giving his students advice and gently correcting them when they misbehave or make a mistake.

He is taller than most adults and all kids in Franklin (except for Moose).

Omega[]

Omega is Vixen's younger sister. She is a gray fox with a similar build as her sister. She is friendly, helpful, outgoing and spunky.

She is good friends with Beaver, Skunk, Goose and Badger, as well as Snail.
She goes to Franklin's school once for a day visit.
She is acquainted with Red.

Introduced in Vixen's High School[]

Red[]

Red is a fanmade character created by Caldafox. He is an orange-colored red fox with brown paws and ears. He is Fox's cousin and is friendly, helpful and kind. As time goes on, he develops a crush on Vixen, but she rejects him. However, they are still friends after they make amends.

Fox is sometimes annoyed at him.
He is friends with several other cousins of main Franklin characters.
He looks very similar to his cousin in build.

Buckley[]

Buckley is a fanmade character created by Caldafox. He is a tannish-brown colored beaver with buck teeth, and is chubby. He is grumpy and rude towards Vixen and Red.

He has a bad temper.
He annoys many.

Mrs. Wolf[]

Mrs. Wolf is a fanmade character created by Caldafox. She is an older gray wolf with glasses. She is grumpy and easily annoyed, and serves as the teacher of Vixen's math class in High School.

She seems to be annoyed at children, despite being a teacher.

Hopper[]

Hopper is a fanmade character created by Caldafox. He is a male rabbit. He is a friend of Red's who is good at sports.

Trivia[]

He is Rabbit's cousin.
His mother is Rabbit's aunt who teaches tuba lessons.
- However, since Rabbit also has a cousin named Jack Rabbit, it's also possible Hopper is this cousin's brother.
He is acquainted with Vixen.

Mephit[]

Mephit is a fanmade character created by Caldafox. He is a male striped skunk. He is a friend of Red's.

Trivia[]

He is Skunk's cousin.
His name comes from the striped skunk's scientific name, Mephitis mephitis.

Minor characters[]

The principal of the high school has one appearance in Vixen's High School, but his species is not known.
Otter and Miss Koala have one mention each in Vixen's Adventures, while Otter has another mention in Vixen's High School, when it's revealed she is dating Franklin.
Mrs. Raccoon only appears in "Vixen's New Friend."
Vixen's parents are as follows:
- Mr. Vixen: A male fox who tends a garden in his only appearance. He knows Fox, as he is friends with Mr. Vixen's daughter. It was recently decided that Mr. Vixen is a gray fox.
- Mrs. Vixen: A vixen who is Vixen and Omega's mother. Vixen often seeks her approval when playing with friends, but Mrs. Vixen has few actual appearances. It was recently decided that Mrs. Vixen is a red fox. She is given more "screen time" in the Neobook version of Vixen's High School.
