LaLa Love is the fifth studio album by the Pink Seaish singer-songwriter, Emiri Nakamura. It was released on April 22, 2008, through Sunstruck Records. Emiri began work on the project in June 2007, following the release of her 2006 album Forgiveness. The album has a different sound, mainly consisting of bubblegum pop, pop rock, teen pop, and love pop.
The album's lead single, "Daydreams", was released on Feburary 7, 2008 and impacted Pink Sea pop stations on Feburary 15, 2008. The song debuted at No. 16 on the Pink Sea Billboard 100 chart, before shortly peeking at No. 4. Emiri then went on to release three promotional singles: "Wish You Were Mine", "Falling", and "It's Me Again". The album recieved positive reviews from critics, praising Erimi's vocals and the album's lyricism.
LaLa Love debuted at No. 3 on the Pink Sea Billboard 200 chart, earning 204,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, and 154,000 were pure album sales.
Background & Release[]
In April 2007, Emiri embarked on the second leg of the Pink Sea Summer Tour in, where she performed three previously unheard songs, which were all soon revealed to be planned for inclusion of her upcoming fifth album, which would be LaLa Love. In May 2007, she teased future music releases through her social media accounts, before work on the album began in June 2007.
