Kung Fu Panda 4 is a 2025 American computer animated action comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and released by Universal Pictures. Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni from a screenplay by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. It is the sequel to 2016's Kung Fu Panda 3 and the fourth and final installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Seth Rogen, James Hong (in his final film role), and Jackie Chan reprise their roles from the first three films alongside new characters voiced by KJ Apa, Kevin Dunn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Brendan Gleeson. In the film, Po attempts to teach a mouse the basics of kung fu in order to face a villainous Asian black bear seeking to conquer the world.
Kung Fu Panda 4 was released on January 31, 2025 in theaters in the United States, and was a box office success, grossing $1.025 billion worldwide and becoming DreamWorks Animation's first film to earn $1 billion, and held the record of being DreamWorks Animation's highest-grossing film, until Madagascar 4: Australian Outback surpassed it later that same year. Like its predecessors, Kung Fu Panda 4 received generally positive reviews, with critics calling it a "satisfying conclusion" to the franchise, while praising the animation, voice acting, humor, action sequences, and emotional depth.
