Kamen Rider ZX is the first half of the seventh/eighth Kamen Rider American remake series. It is actually an adaptation of Skyrider and it's sequel Kamen Rider Decade is an adaptation of the film Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!
Story[]
Dr. Matthews, an acclaimed research scientist, is kidnapped by Neo-Shocker and forced to create soldiers. He convinces Neo-Shocker to allow him to operate on an injured camper named Carter Gray. He transforms Carter in Kamen Rider ZX and embeds a special message in his helmet to explain to him what's going on. Once ZX is sent out on an assassination mission by Neo-Shocker, the message activates and Carter turns against Neo-Shocker.
After the defeat of Neo-Shocker, the Badan Empire appears, and the Kamen Rider series concludes with Kamen Rider Decade.
Characters[]
- Carter Gray: Kamen Rider ZX. His mission is stop Neo-Shocker's plans no matter what.
- Dr. Matthews: He transforms Carter into ZX. He is executed by Neo-Shocker after ZX abandons them.
- Chase: Carter's close friend. Becomes Kamen Rider Decade in the next series.
Neo-Shocker[]
- Great Leader of Neo-Shocker: His voice is only ever heard through tape recordings. He commands every member of Neo-Shocker. Returns in Decade.
- Galaxy King: A large mechanical figurehead who was later revealed to alive. He died when his spaceship, which was actually the Neo-Shocker base, exploded.
- General Monster: The first chief of Neo-Shocker. He could transform into a gecko monster. When Admiral Amon appeared, he forced Monster to prove himself by defeating ZX in a one-on-one. When he failed to do this, Amon beheaded him.
- Admiral Amon: A demonic sorcerer who escaped from hell and joined Neo-Shocker. He executed anyone he deemed unfit to serve Neo-Shocker. He later rebelled against the Galaxy King, wishing to have complete control for himself. He died in one final act of defiance; self-immolation.
- Professor Doc: Head of Neo-Shocker's scientists. When too many of his monsters failed, Amon murdered him and made Doctor X head monster-maker.
- Doctor Comet: Brain surgeon who brainwashes Neo-Shocker's minions. Sentenced to death for constant failure by Monster, then commits suicide.
- Doctor X: Ruthless monster-maker. Killed by ZX's rider kick.
- Ari Commandos: Ant-like footsoldiers.
- Skull Assassination Squad: Neo-Shocker's best hit squad.
- Ambassador Darkness: Clone of Ambassador Hell from the original Shocker, later forms the Badan Empire.
