"Johnny the Oval in the City" is an American animated television series produced by Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network Studios. It's a reboot from the original 1986 series Johnny the Oval. It premiered on January 18, 2018. This series is about Johnny and his family moving from their small village to a big city and trying to help shapes with their jobs.

Premise

It's about Johnny who moved from a small settlement to a big city with his family. Many humans, animal-like creatures and mostly shapes live in the city, and a lot of attractive work is there such as chefs, flow lists, carpenters, etc, the mischievous and curious Johnny makes a big effort to help them every time, but often fails due to too many faults. A comedy animation that features Johnny who challenges various jobs with the circumference and brightness that it has!

Season 2 (2019)

On October 2, 2018, the show was renewed for a second season by Cartoon Network and it will air in February 2019. This will be the first season not to involve Stephen Hillenburg due to his death on November 26, 2018. Chris Mitchell will replace the late Hillenburg as the director. Cartoon Network Studios focused on a Johnny the Oval christmas film titled "Johnny the Oval at the Christmas Party" in autumn 2019.

• This marks the second return of the series.
• Despite the reboot, it still uses digital ink and paint as the last 3 seasons of the original.
• Johnny the Oval in the City is the first series to be produced in 16:9 high-definition television widescreen.
