The sixth season of Johnny the Oval premiered on November 20, 2005 and ended on January 10, 2008. The season was originally set to be last but Cartoon Network both ordered an seventh season and 2nd incarnation of Johnny the Oval series in 2007. In the UK, Cartoon Network never premiered it since it was taken off air in late 2005. However, it premiered on CITV (along with Season 5) on October 1, 2010 at 7.45am and on Cartoon Network Too and Boomerang on April 4, 2011 at 8 am and 10.30am.

Production
The sixth season of Johnny the Oval began production in November 2004 until August 2005. Unlike 5 seasons, it consisted 14 episodes to make a total of 34 episodes. Stephen Hillenburg and Genndy Tartakovsky created 3 new characters such as Princess Molly, Fairy Mary and The Monster.

Releases
Season 6 wasn't released on DVD. Seasons 5 and 6 were released as part of Johnny's Platinum Collection on May 5, 2010 worldwide however. It was also released on iTunes Store.
Trivia
- Kenneth Mars joined the cast for the only season before he retired from voice acting in 2008 and died of pancreatic cancer in February 2011.
