Johnny the Oval at the Wedding Party is an 1997 animated film based on the Cartoon Network animated series Johnny the Oval. It is written by Robert Alaverz and directed by Stephen Hillenburg. The film stars the regular television cast (Christine Cavanaugh, Alison Moore, Nicole Dove, Tom Kenny, Ashleigh Ball, Tara Strong and Kath Soucie) who reprise the roles while Dee Bradley Baker plays the new character Lavo. The film was released on May 2, 1997 and produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network.

Plot

Johnny (Christine Cavanaugh) and his sister Holly (Alison Moore) are running around playing with action figures. The kids asked their mum (Nicole Dove) and dad (Tom Kenny) if they can go to a wedding party but they said "No!". So, they had to go on an adventure first. Johnny and Holly are going to search for his kidnapped girlfriend Lucy (Kath Soucie). Holly asks witch way it is and Johnny said it is that way and they were in the middle of nowhere however.

They went to the swamp and Johnny's butt got bitten by a crocodile so Holly kicks the crocodile. The kids were starving and they looked for a cheese and ham sandwich to eat. They enjoyed a sandwich but it blown away from Johnny's backpack. So they managed to get the sandwich back. Johnny and Holly were stranded in the island and they struggled to climb the mountain and they bumped. Lucy shouted for help and the kids are gonna save her before the villain lasers her.

They went to the evil's laboratory and realised that the villain called Lavo shoots their girlfriend. They saved Lucy and Johnny and Holly defeated Lavo with their kung fu moves and weapons. The police arrested him for kidnapping Johnny's girlfriend.

At the wedding party, the vicker said Johnny and Lucy will marry each other. Johnny asks if Lucy will marry him and she said "Yes, I will marry you!". The film ends with everyone in Ovalsburg celebrating with dancing.

The DVD was released on November 6, 2004.

Video game

The video game of the same was released on October 19, 2004 on PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance before it was ultimately cancelled in 2007.

The film was released theatrically on May 3, 1997. The film was released on June 22, 1997 in France and it was released on August 16, 1997 in the UK for £2.70.
