Characters arrive at their high school, meeting each and every one of our main characters. Megan Blake arrives home and plops down on her bed. She has a nightmare about Tyler Cooper, a teenage boy who disappeared. The next day, Taylor arrives late to school but manages to get there before Miss Taylor's door closes. Megan opens her book to reveal a note saying "YOUI MUST PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID." She gathers her old friends together but they just shrug it off as a joke. Sean Collins, Parker Jacobs and Xander Rollins spray-paint Principal Hoffman's car. Eddie Warner appears and hits Parker on his head with a wooden baseball bat, he proceeds to bash his head, while Sean and Xander escape. After Eddie finishes Parker, he runs after the two boys. Xander and Sean are hiding but Eddie manages to find Xander and beats him with the baseball bat. Eddie escapes while Sean looks on in fear. After dark, Megan exits the bathroom and finds her window wide open. She sees a newspaper article on her bed. It is about Tyler Cooper's disappearance. A flashback shows Megan and the others trying to stop Sean from hurting Tyler. Tyler tells Sean that he doesn't want to do his homework anymore. Sean punches him in the face. Tyler falls down a hill, hitting a rock. Sean is shocked about what he has done. They carry his body to the pier and throw him into the water. Sean says to Megan to keep her mouth shut.
