Intrepid is a 2018 American Slasher Horror film written, produced and directed by Robert Rodriquez. It stars Carla Gugino, Michelle Rodriquez, Samira Wiley, Jussie Smollett, Matt Bomer, Thomas Dekker, Trevie Anthonie Cheek, Lucas Hedges and Lady Gaga.
Plot
Fashion student Miller attends an appointment with his psychiatrist prior to getting ready for a weekend away with his circle of gay friends. As he reluctantly packs up at his apartment he answers a set of Grindr messages prompting to come around the corner for a hook up. It goes awry as he finds himself in a collective of stoners who he ultimately departs from after purchasing marijuana for the trip.
An anonymous user hits him up on the app (then revealed to be an unseen stalker following him throughout the course of the night) and chases an intoxicated Miller down a lane of empty streets onto a nearby playground where he is stabbed to death with a ceremonial dagger.
