An Indian giant tortoise
Indian giant tortoise (Megalochelys Atlas) is a species of giant tortoise that is native to India. They are the largest species of tortoise alive today, growing up to about 8.9 feet long and about 5.9 feet tall, weighing about 4,000 kg. Just like the Galapagos tortoise, they have very elephantine feet to support their massive size. Just like most other species of tortoises, they are herbivores that feed on grass, leaves, roots, tubers, flowers, and fruits.
