Hollywood Bablyon is a 2015 American Horror film written and directed by David Lynch starring Morgan Freeman, Laura Dern, Shirley Maclaine, Thandie Newton, Sam Claflin, Juno Temple, Evan Ross, Armie Hammer, Emma Stone, Kevin Hart, Dianna Agron and Penn Badgley.

The film follows a group of young 18 year old high school film students whom along with two teachers are seperated on a trip under one professor's desire to meet with a family of horror movie filmmakers whom turn out to be base their productions on actual murders they commit in the name of film.

The film was heavily promoted and signed on with Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures for distribution.

It was a commercial succesful and was well received by audiences and critics.

The film secured MTV, Empire and Saturn Awards for Best Horror/Thriller film and Best Original Screenplay.

The film was released theatrically on June 11th, 2015 worldwide and pre-screened on June 8th, 2015 at the Toronto, Tribeca and NY State Film Festivals as well the Norwegian and Cairns film festivals.

Plot

The film begins in 1994 with a young Japanese couple Siyuki Nakata and Yuki Shimizu whom hit an unexpected flat whilst passing down a dead end rural woodland road.

From there Siyuki is killed by a summoned japanese girl spirit and Yuki is blown onto a car windscreen by a shotgun blast from an S & M suited figure.

A young woman and her fancy dressed mother emerge from the woods.

Yuki proceeds to bleed to death as the young woman jotts down on a notepad the deaths and the mother goes over them for the premise of a horror television series and a Japanese Ghost Girl film, which will surely obligatory sequels.
