I am Owen MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod, the Highlander.
―Owen's introduction.

Highlander: The Avenger is a fan fiction of eight books and a spin off, written by Roland Cain. It is inspired by the original Highlander Franchise.

In still frames, it stars his friend Jack Turpin in the lead role, along with some fun fan casting. The fan fiction came to Cain's attention when Turpin joked about going back in time and getting a role in the original show.

The fan fiction revolves around Owen MacLeod, the adopted son of Duncan MacLeod, and his battle against Dark Immortals. During his journey, he comes into conflict with other antagonists, struggles to break his character flaws and fights to make the world a better place for mankind.
