This sketch shows what the skull of the hibogibbus looks like.

Hibogibbus (name meaning "weird cheeks" for its bony protrudes that sticked out of its cheeks) is an extinct species of dylanusid that was native to African savannas and forests. They came in three species, Hibogibbus Africanus, Hibogibbus Burchellsi, and Hibogibbus robustus. Outdated Hibogibbus

This is the outdated restoration of the Hibogibbus in the 1930s. In 1961, people realized their mistake, Hibogibbus actually was a bipedal walker like modern dylanuses and was not a human and wasn't even an ape or any primate, it was part of a Dylanusid family.

American common dylanus and the American killer dylanus, but with bony structures sticking out of its cheeks. It was among the most common mammals of Africa during the Miocene, Pliocene, and early Pleistocene. They became extinct in 1.2 million years ago in the early Pleistocene, and it may have been caused by climate changes due to global cooling caused by an oncoming Ice Age.
