The Mom Effect is a 2020 American black comedy splatter horror film directed by Paul Feig and written by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo.

The film is produced by Scott Rudin and Judd Apatow.

The film deals with a single mother joining a support group for divorced women who turn out to be a band of vicious killers bent on killing their cheating lovers for their misdeeds.

The film stars Drew Barrymore, Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, Queen Latifah, Leslie Mann, Kristen Bell, Regina Hall, Maya Rudolph, Linda Cardellini, Ellie Kemper, Lakeith Stanfield, Jason Bateman, Dax Shepard, Armie Hammer, Charlie Day, Chris O'Dowd, Mark Wahlberg, Chadwick Boseman, John Krasinski, Ike Barinholtz, Jake Gyllenhaal, Dakota Johnson, Megan Fox, Dylan Minnette and Millie Bobby Brown.

The film was released on February 14th, 2020 and was distributed by Columbia Pictures. The Mom Effect received critical acclaim for the performances, balance on horror and comedy and it's female empowerment message and it was a box office hit, grossing $444 million worldwide.
