Groove is an American Musical Dance Comedy Drama series that streamed directly on Netflix from February 18th, 2019 until March 11th, 2026. It follows a collective of individuals of Detroit, Michigan who aspire as a dance crew to make it big, as well as deal with their each's own trials & tribulations.
Developed by Nick Antosca, the show is credited as being inspired by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk's hugely successful Fox musical series Glee (2009-2015), the Step Up film series and the broadway drama Smash (2012-2013), featuring central cast members from each of it's driving inspirations in either guest, recurring or cameo roles.
The primary cast of the series comprises of: Kelly Monaco, Rosa Salazar, Amandla Stenberg, Paul McGill, Andrew Lees, Davis Heppenstall, Jerry Hernandez, Angourie Rice, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Columbus Short and Karan Brar.
