Grand Theft Auto: Master assassins is a game in the franchise and somewhat of a prequel to GTA V. It takes place in the HD universe, in the year 1989.

Trevor Phillips and Henry Turagon get jobs as assassins. They are hired to kill a bunch of people by Sanjay Vasco. Soon, however, Sanjay sends assassins to assassinate Trevor and Henry, so they go to kill Sanjay. During a duel, Sanjay shoots at Trevor but Henry takes the bullet and dies. In a fit of rage, Trevor knocks out Sanjay and brutally tortures him as he's tied up on a chair. Finally, Trevor lights Sanjay on fire and walks away as Sanjay screams and dies.
