Golden Girls: The Musical is an American stage musical based on the 1985 comedy series The Golden Girls and its subsequent film adaptation of the same name. With music and lyrics by Ifan Barber and Lin-Manuel Miranda and story by original story creator Susan Harris and Ifan Barber, the songs draw inspiration from the setting's era of the late 1980s, as well as musical pieces from the original series.

Synopsis

In 1980s Miami, fun-loving middle aged friends Dorothy Zbornak, Rose Nylund and Blanche Devereaux live together in Blanche's home. A series of events including a fire, a proposal and a family reunion lead to an intense few weeks and it proves that 50 is the new 30.
