Godzilla (Called Godzilla: The Animation In Japan) Is A Japanese Animated Television Series Based
On Toho's Godzilla Franchise. It Serves As A Sequel To Both Godzilla, (1954) And Godzilla Raids Again. (1955) It First Aired On Both DirecTV And TotalTV On February 5, 2018. It Was A Successful Show, Receiving Favorable Comparisons To Godzilla: The Series (1998-2000) And Even Gargoyles. (1994-1997)
Plot
The Plot Is Similar To Tristar's Godzilla: The Series, Following The Daikaiju Reaction Force, (D.R.F.) A Kaiju Research Team Lead By Miki Saegusa As They Battle Giant Monsters That Frequently Appear Years After The Wake Of The Events Depicted In The Original Godzilla Film From 1954 And 1955's Godzilla Raids Again. Miki Accidentally Discovers The Hibernating Godzilla In The Ice, But Godzilla Assumes Miki As Her Parent, Subsequently, The D.R.F. Is Formed And Founded By Miki, Investigating Strange Occurrences And Defending Mankind From Dangerous Kaiju. Godzilla Imprints On Miki And Becomes The Main Weapon Summoned Against Other Kaiju Encountered By The Human Characters. The Series Is Also Well Known For Introducing Other Non-Godzilla Toho Kaiju Into The Show, Such As Dagahra, Desghidorah, Yamata No Orochi, Etc. Years Later, The Woman Named Miki Saegusa Discovers Huge Spikes Exposed Out Of The Ice. Godzilla Wakes Up After Years And The D.R.F. Is Founded.
2. Battle In The Seas - The D.R.F. Heads To Hawaii To Help The US Military Investigate The Various Disappearances Of Many People. The Group Discovers Ebirah, The Giant Prehistoric Species Of Lobster, And Dagahra, A Dragon-Like Sea Monster. Godzilla Arrives To Fight Both Beasts Off. Miki Must Now Help Steve Martin Defeat Dagahra And Ebirah, And Convince Him That Godzilla Is More Useful Alive Than Dead.
3. Godzilla Vs. Baragon And Hedorah - The D.R.F. Are Called To Help A Russian Town To Deal With Baragon, A Burrowing Mammal-Like Reptile That Is Killing And Eating Livestock And Humans. The Russian Government Uses A Bioweapon, Hedorah, Against Baragon And Godzilla After They Fought, But It Evolves And Turns Into A Kaiju, Godzilla And Baragon Fight Hedorah In Moscow, With Godzilla Infected In The Process, The Team Must Find A Cure For Godzilla And Defeat Hedorah With It.
4. The Wrath Of Dr. Who - After Godzilla Fought Droves Of Robotic Dinosaurs, The Team Encounters Their Creator, Dr. Who, A Man Who Wants To Destroy Godzilla. He Wants The D.R.F. To Work With Him, But Miki Refuses. So, Dr. Who Unleashes His Kaiju-Sized Creations, Mechani Kong And Mechagodzilla. It's Up To Godzilla And His Once Enemy Anguirus To Team Up With King Kong To Battle The Robots In Tokyo.
5. The Monstrous Plant Spirit - A Project By The Egyptian Government Is Unveiled, The Project Is To Create Plants That Will One Day Fill The Sahara Desert, And The Middle East. They Are Given Godzilla's Cells, Rose Cells, And The Cells Of A Little Girl. Upon Filling The Genes Of One Rose With The Other Cells, It Mutates And Grows Out Of Control. The Plant Monster Escapes Egypt And Crawls All The Way To Paris, Where It Is Now A Gigantic Rose-Like Monster, Dubbed Biollante. It's Now Up To The Team And Godzilla Must Find A Way To Stop Biollante Before It Turns The Entire City Into A Jungle.
6. Survival Of The Fittest - The Team Not Only Have To Contend With A Plague Of Meganulon And Meganula Roaming The Streets Of Japan, But Their Queen, Megaguirus, Has Arrived To Feed On The Humans As Well. Godzilla, With The Help Of A Pterosaur Kaiju, Rodan, Eventually Fight Off The Prehistoric Incests.
7. Nightmare - When A Strange Kaiju Named Gabara Starts To Go On A Killing Spree In New York City, The Team Investigates. Godzilla Eventually Battles Gabara In Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
8. The Lost Empire - The Team Is Called To Help A Rescue Mission To Save A Little Boy From The Hostile Mu Empire With The Team That Pilots The Gotengo, With Godzilla Following Them In The Process. As They Get Closer To The Mu Empire, The Team And Godzilla Fight Mu's Kaiju Gaurds, Manda, Titanosaurus, And The Kraken.
9. The Devine Moths - When Villages In Japan Are Attacked By A Strange, Black, Moth-Like Creature, The D.R.F. Intervenes. They Quickly Discover That The Beast Is Battra, Who Has Gone Berserk. Battra Was Created By A Ancient Race Of Humans 12,000 Years Ago. As Godzilla Arrives To Find Battra, The Team Must Find Mothra, Battra's Older And More Friendlier Sister. As Godzilla And Mothra Meet, They Are Mysteriously In Love. And Both Monsters Finally Fight Battra In Osaka.
10. The Golden Demise - The D.R.F. Heads To Germany After Berlin Was Decimated After An Attack From The Golden Demise, King Ghidorah. Godzilla, Mothra, Anguirus, And Baragon Intervene And Fight King Ghidorah In The Mountains.
11. War Of The Monsters Part 1 - Major Problems Caused By Monsters Arise. Yamata No Orochi Attacks Hokkaido, A Living Dinosaur, Gorosaurus, Attacks The Countryside Of Nigeria, Desghidorah Attacks London, And Biollante Has Came Back In The Ruins Of Paris. As Godzilla, Mothra, Anguirus, And King Kong Begin To Intervene, A Alien Race Called The "Mysterians" Have An Army Of Monsters Under Their Control And Also Have Plans To Destroy The World.
12. War Of The Monsters Part 2 - From Their Secret Base In The Moon, The Mysterians Assemble Their Forces: Yamata No Orochi, Gorosaurus, Desghidorah, King Ghidorah, Battra, Manda, Titanosaurus, The Kraken, Battra, Gabara, Megaguirus, Biollante, Hedorah, Ebirah, Dagahra, Gigan, Megalon, Varan, And Their Robotic Creation: Moguera. The D.R.F. Desperately Fights To Resist, But Are Easily Defeated. Once Captured And Brought To The Aliens, They Are Are Told That Godzilla And His Allied Kaiju Forces Are Next To Being Brainwashed, And They Will Be Used To Attack Major Cities All Over The World In Preparation For A Full-Scale Invasion. As It's Head Marches The Aliens' Ultimate Weapon: SpaceGodzilla, A Hybrid Between A Deceased Godzilla Specimen (Possibly Godzilla's Father) And Various Crystals.
13. War Of The Monsters Part 3 - As The Mysterians And Their Kaiju "Allies" Attack Earth, Miki And The D.R.F. Escape Captivity. They And Godzilla, Mothra, Baragon, Anguirus, King Kong, And Rodan Battle To Defeat The Alien Onslaught And Free Most Of The Monsters From Mysterian Control To Help Fight Back Against The Aliens, Spacegodzilla, Gigan, King Ghidorah, Megalon, And Moguera And Save The Earth From Conquest. While The JSDF Aids Them With Their Own Version Of Mechagodzilla, Kiryu.
14. Aftermath - In The Aftermath Of The Great War, āāāA Trip Back To Japan To Investigate A Number Of Mysteriously Disappearances Leads To A Battle At Wills Between The D.R.F. And A New, Anti-Kaiju Organization, The International Monster Slayers, (I.M.S.) Who Think Godzilla And All Monsters Are Evil. However, The Real Threat Is Revealed: Parasitic Monsters Dubbed MUTOs. (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism) Things Lead To A Showdown Between Godzilla And Anguirus And The MUTOs In Osaka.
15. Ice - The Team Is Dispatched To The Arctic To Search For A Missing Research Team. Not Only Do They And Godzilla Have To Battle The Monster Responsible For The Disappearances, The Walrus-Like Monster Maguma, But Also Another Alien Monster, Orga.
16. The Revenge Of Dr. Who - Godzilla Is Infantile Tantrums And Has Mysteriously Been Attacking Cities In Japan For Weeks. The D.R.F. Starts To Grow Worried As Well As The JSDF. Eventually, They Find That Dr. Who Is Back, Controlling A Brainwashed Godzilla. It's Up To Miki And The Team To Calm Down Godzilla And Break Him Free From Dr. Who, But Meanwhile, When Called To Investigate A Extended Deforestation In The Redwoods Of California, They Discover Mutant Mantis Species Called Kamacuras And Giant Mutant Spiders Called Kumonga, And Dr. Who Is Controlling Them As Well. Godzilla Fights The Kamacuras And Kumonga In Jamaica.
17. Pretender Of The Throne - The D.R.F. Is Called By The Pentagon To Investigate After New Orleans Was Attacked By "Godzilla", However, The Team Quickly Discovers That This "Godzilla" Is Not Actually Godzilla, But A Mutant Iguana Kaiju Called Zilla, Who Had Laid Hundreds Of Eggs 72 Hours After Its Landfall In New Orleans. The Team Must Find A Way To Destroy The Baby Zillas And Help Godzilla Defeat The Adult Zilla.
18. Revenge Of The Ghost - Godzilla Is Accused Of Attacking Odo Island, The Military Calls Miki's Team To Help Contain Him. But The I.M.S. Has Returned From Destroying A Colony Of Kamacuras, With Orders To Terminate Godzilla. But However, They Discover The Real Cause Of The Incident, The Red-Glowing Ghost Of Godzilla's Possible Brother, Now Called Ghost Godzilla. It's Up To Godzilla, Anguirus, Baragon, And Varan To Destroy Ghost Godzilla.
19. Lucifer - The D.R.F. Investigates An Abandoned Lab In Romania, Where 50 Years Ago, Scientists Succeeded In Creating A Crab-Like Creature. The Creature Is Capable Of Shapshifting Into Various Sizes And Forms. But However, The Creature Escaped And Killed All Of Them. Then, The Creature Comes Back And Attacks The D.R.F., And Transforms Into It's Perfect Form. Godzilla Arrives To Fight The Creature, Now Called Destoroyah. It May Be One Of The Most Difficult Battles Our Heroes May Face, And Could Even Haunt Both Godzilla And Miki.
20. Horror From Planet X - A Meteorite Called Gorath Lands In Antarctica, And Inside Gorath Is The Hostile Monster X. When Both Gorath And Monster X Are Confirmed To Be From Planet X, The D.R.F. Intervenes And Lures Godzilla To The Alien Monster In The Ruins Of Tokyo. But As Monster X Transforms Into Kaiser Ghidorah, It Makes The Battle Harder. But Luckily With The Aid Of Mothra, The Earth Might Be Saved Once Again.
Season 2 (2019)
1. The Return - The D.R.F. Is Called To Investigate Strange Occurrences In Queensland, Australia. They Discover A New Kaiju, Shinomura. Godzilla Rises From The Sea To Help The D.R.F. Defeat The Monster.
2. A Twist In Time - While Pursuing Dogora, A Mysterious Storm Sends The Team To Hundreds Of Years In The Future, The 23rd Century. They Discover A Post-Apocalyptic Future Where All Kaiju Inducing Godzilla Are Dead. Humanity Is All But Extinct. And The World Is Overrun By Lizard Monsters Called Skull Crawlers. The Skull Crawlers Where Created By Atlantis Thousands Of Years Ago As Weapons Of War, But Have Gone Rouge. After Narrowly Making Their Way Back To The Present, The Team Decides To Stop The Skull Crawlers. With The Aid Of King Kong, Godzilla And The Team Will Prevent What Steve Martin Calls The Skull Apocalypse.
3. The Coming Storm - In The Middle Of An Attack On The D.R.F. Headquarters By A Pack Of Flying Lion Monsters Called Griffons, Godzilla Seemingly Is Not Responding To The Team, And They Find The Reason Why, He Has Been Held In Captivity In Monster Island By A Group Of Terrorists Called The Red Bamboo. The Team Must Find A Way To Save Godzilla Before He, Along With Anguirus, Rodan, And Gorosaurus Are Used As Weapons Of War And Crime.
4. The Island - The D.R.F. Is Called By The Residents Of San Diego, California To Deal With Giant Rats, And Jirass, A Descendent Of Dilophosaurus, When They Come Under Attack By The Red Bamboo Again. Later, The Giant Rats, Jirass, And Some Griffons Are Transported To An Island Called Monster Island, By The JSDF For Research If Biologists Are Interested, But The Team Is Stalked By The Red Bamboo. When The Terrorists Take Control Of The Island, And Call The I.M.S. To Destroy The Kaiju, The Only Hope To Save The Island Are The Combined Forces Of The D.R.F., Godzilla, Mothra, Anguirus, Baragon, Gorosaurus, Varan, Rodan, Mothra Leo, Kiryu, And Steve Martin And His Recruits.
5. The Guardian Of Okinawa - When Dagahra Runs Amok In Okinawa, Archeologists Accidentally Awaken King Caesar, The Guardian Lion Of Okinawa. Godzilla And The Team Arrives To Intervene As They Find A Way To Lure Godzilla To King Caesar To Battle Dagahra, They Encounter The Fairy-Like Ghogo And A Tiny Mothra Sub Species Called Fairy Mothra. Godzilla And King Caesar Have A Battle With Dagahra In A King Caesar's Temple.
6. Biollante's Revenge - Biollante Has Surfaced In Miami, Florida, And Has Dragon-Like Servants: Servums. It's Up To The Team And Godzilla To Defeat Biollante And Her Servum Army Once And For All, And Are Joined By The Robot, Jet Jaguar.
7. Most Terrifying Show On Earth - When A Circus Ring Master Brings His Circus To Japan, Things Go Terribly Wrong When The Mutant Cuttlefish Gezora, Mutant Crab Ganimes, And Mutant Tortoise Kamoebas Escape And Go On A Rampage. When The Team Discovers That They Are On A Rampage, They Intervene Along With Godzilla And Kiryu. The Race Is Now On For Godzilla, Kiryu And The Team To Calm Down The Mutated Kaiju.
8. Love Story - While On A Romantic Cruise To Kenya, Miki And Sho's Ship Is Attacked By Titanosaurus, But They Are Saved, Not By Godzilla, But Mothra. When Godzilla Heads For Kenya To Find Miki And The Team, They Make A Shocking Discovery, They Are Still In Love. And They Have Eggs, One Hatches A Mothra Larva, And Other, Having Been Abandoned Since World War II, Hatches A Baby Godzilla, Miki Nicknames The Baby Godzilla Minya. However, Titanosaurus And A Green, Ape-Like Kaiju, Gaira And Even A Giant Octopus Are Nearby, And The I.M.S. Is Gonna Kill All Of The Monsters. The Team Must Stop Them As Godzilla And Mothra Are Joined By Another Ape-Like Deity, Sanda To Fight Titanosaurus, Gaira, And The Giant Octopus To Protect Minya And The Larva.
9. Infection - While Fighting An Evolving Mutant Kaiju Called Barubaroi, Godzilla Is Infected By It's Virus-Filled Spit And Is Now Fighting For His Own Life. While The Team Create A Amniotic To Weaken The Hideous Monster, Miki Must Go Inside Jet Jaguar, And Since He Can Grow Large And Small, Jet Jaguar Enters Godzilla's Body To Destroy The Infection By Its Source Before Godzilla Dies.
10. Battle For Earth - King Ghidorah Returns To Earth, Now More Powerful Than Ever Before, With Gigan As His Sidekick. The Team And Godzilla Arrive In Shanghai With The Aid Of A New Monster, Majin Tuol.
11. Goliaths - The D.R.F. Is Called To Iowa, Where A Rat/Fish Hybrid Kaiju, Deutalios, Is Devouring Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Crops. The Team Is Unable To Stop Deutalios When They First Encounter It And Upon Finding It Again. As Godzilla Gets Involved, Deutalios' Howl Is Disrupting All Redars In Iowa And Neighboring States As Godzilla And The Team Are About To Counterattack.
12. Area 51 - The Team Investigates Possible Kaiju Sightings In Area 51, Where The Truth Is About Area 51 Does Not Have Aliens, But Kaiju And Other Monster. Contained Such Are The Dragon-Like GaruGaru, Probe Bats, And The Gryphon. Both The Probe Bats And The Gryphon Escape. The Team And Godzilla Must Stop The Creatures Before They Arrive And Run Amok At The Nearby Las Vegas.
13. Twister - During A Nice Peaceful Day At The Beach, The Team Is Caught Off Guard By A Twister. When The Twister Strikes Again, The D.R.F. Discovers A New, "Pokemon-Like" Kaiju Named Balkzardan. When King Ghidorah Returns With A New, Similar Power, Godzilla And Balkzardan Battle The 3-Headed Dragon.
14. The Mines Of Doom - On Their Way To An Expo In An Attempt To Win A Research Patent, The Team Meets Two Children, Brother And Sister. They Ask The Team To Rescue Their Lost Parents, Who Work In A Mining Company And Have Gone Missing. Akane Is Left Babysitting The Kids. The Rest Of The Team Goes To The Mines And Encounter The Vagnosaurus: A Monster With Tentacles On Its Back. Godzilla And Baragon Eventually Intervene.
15. āāāāāThe Spit Of Death - While Tracking Godzilla In Montana, The Team Discovers That A Space Monster Capable Of Spitting Acid Called Barugaron By The Local Indian Tribes Is On A Rampage. But When They Try To Contain The Space Kaiju, It's Acidic Spit Melts The Boundaries. Godzilla Eventually Fights Barugaron, While Being Wounded By The Acidic Spit.
16. I Say We Kill The Beast! - Dr. Who Springs The Red Bamboo From Jail And Uses Them To Pilot A Rebuilt Mechagodzilla And Mechani Kong, And A New Mecha, Mecha King Ghidorah. āāāāTheir Mission: Kill Godzilla. When Who Takes Control Of The D.R.F.'s Computer Systems To Stop Them From Intervening, Miki And The Others Must Get Rid Of Who, Then Find A Way To Save Godzilla While He, King Kong, Kiryu, Mothra, And Anguirus Fight The Mechas Off.
17. Vision - The Team Are Called To Boston, Where Jyarumu Has Been Running Amok And Attacking Aircraft. The Beast's Flight To Too Fast To See With The Naked Eye, Making It Impossible For Godzilla To Defeat It. But Luckily, Mothra Leo Intervenes To Help Godzilla, Since She Can Shapshift. The Dragon-Like Monster Is Destroyed By Both Godzilla's Atomic Breath And Leo's "Light Speed" Form.
18. Fugitives - When Razin Attacks San Francisco, Godzilla And The Team Intervenes, But Godzilla Is Weakened. Then, Shiigan Appears And Is On Razin's Side. It's Up To The Team To Help Godzilla To Defeat Both Monsters.
19. Fire And Ice - Mogu, A Dragon Kaiju, Terrorizes Scotland. Godzilla And The D.R.F. Arrive To Stop It. Once Godzilla And The Team Has Taken The Creature Out, They Put Mogu In The D.R.F. Headquarters To Study It, But Things Go Horribly Wrong And Mogu Wrecks Havoc Again. Godzilla And A New Monster, The Ice Giant, Fight Mogu In Mount Fuji.
20. Swamp Of Frankenstein - While In New Orleans, The Team Hears Rumors Of A Real "Frankenstein" And Decide To Search For It. The Creature Is Found Fighting Godzilla. Frankenstein Swiftly Proves Himself A Match. But Then, The Next Day, Both Kaiju Fight Again, But Who Will Be The Victor This Time?
21. The Trap - A Mutant Star Fish Dubbed Hitodah Begins To Attack Boats And Fishing Ships. The D.R.F. Must Help Godzilla Fight Hitodah Back To The Marina Trench.

Some Stock Music From The Showa Godzilla Films By Akira Ifukube Such As King Kong Vs. Godzilla, (1962) Mothra Vs. Godzilla, (1964) Destroy All Monsters, (1968) And Terror Of Mechagodzilla (1975) Where Sampled As Well.
