It has wide acceptance among administrators and is a standard that everyone should follow. Please make use of the Watercooler forum to propose changes to this policy.
The following was a proposal expand and change the Manual of Style. The proposal passed with a +1 vote. Any comments or questions should be left here.
In order to ensure that this wiki's general cleanliness be improved dramatically, I, Darth Wylind, am enacting several new rules and policies here on Fanon Wiki. They will consists mostly of common sense things that can be used to improve this wiki's quality. This includes but is not limited to:
All Star Wars related articles must be written in past tense.
The first mentioning of the subject of and article must be written in bold.
Vandalism will be met with instant bans of various lengths, pending on the administrators' view on the intensity of the vandalism.
All articles must have at leastone category.
USERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EDIT ANOTHER USERS USERPAGE. Period.
Any severe incivility or profanity will be met with a ban of at least three (3) days. This includes but isn't limited to racism and sexism.
All users must sign their comments on talk pages, forums, and so-forth using their signature (~~~~). Signatures must link to the user's userpage and talk page. Signatures may not hold images larger than 40px.
Should a user/contributor give hint of any intention to sabotage and article, commit vandalism, threaten another user, or commit any other "unlawful-ish online act", they shall be banned immediately.
Phrases like "Do not Edit" or "I'll finish this page later" are not allowed in articles. Such comments should be posted on talk pages.
Every article requires some form on content. Empty infoboxes and headlines are not acceptable. There must be an introduction, with actual writing.
Please be aware I'm not doing this to dictate this wiki. This is to improve the quality of the Fanon Wiki in the best of ways. All users are asked to vote one-way-or-another below. Remember, users are not allowed to simply oppose or sign their signature. They must prove good, solid reason as to why this new policy package shouldn't pass. It takes six (6) of said "good, solid" oppose votes in order for this to be rejected. Also remember to sign your comments, questions, or vote with (~~~~). Please and thank you, (Conference Room) 01:46, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
