Flying cat is a future descendants of feral cats that survived and evolved into gliding animals in order to hunt flying and gliding animals more efficiently. They are carnivores that mainly feed on birds and flying squirrels. They are twice the size of a flying squirrel, being smaller than their ancestors, so they could glide very far, as larger gliding animals can't glide far enough to reach another tree or hunt prey.
Evolution[]
After the Late Holocene ended, humans are now gone, but not their unwanted pets. Among their unwanted pets that still survives are feral cats, which still flourish due to abundance of prey items. Due to flying squirrels having no predators after humans had killed off all of its predators, feral cats had filled the niche left behind by those predators that had once hunted flying squirrels. Feral cats eventually developed skin flaps between its legs like a flying squirrel in order to glide. They eventually became mostly nocturnal, more so than their ancestors, due to its new prey, flying squirrels, being mostly nocturnal. Feral cats had evolved into flying cats.
