The film is based on the Steam game Five Nights At Freddy's 3, which itself is a sequel to Five Nights At Freddy's 1 and 2. It is also the second sequel to the 2015 film Five Nights At Freddy's. Rated R. This is also biologically the final part in the film series.

Plot[]

The film starts with a newspaper article revealing that Terrance and Kathleen died in a car crash.

At 5:49 A.M., four teenage friends - 18-year-old Zoey Carter (Victoria Justice), her 17-year-old boyfriend Joey (Drake Bell), her 20-year-old best friend Chloe Davidson (Demi Lovato), and Chloe's 16-year-old boyfriend Kyle (Nathan Kress) start sneaking into Fazbear's Fright, a new horror attraction based on the previous two restaurants and the killer animatronics. They hang out for a few minutes, until a guard named Matt (Josh Peck) confronts them. After leading them to a exit, a purple suited man appears and shoots him to death. Joey tries to calm him down but is shot and mortally wounded. After they hide, Joey orders them to get out of there without him before he passes away from his wound as a crying Zoey kisses him. Chloe helps Zoey and Kyle escape but is also wounded by the man. She then shuts the door and claims that she loves Kyle.

Zoey and Kyle find out the next morning from the police that the place will be temporarily shutting down until the problems can be resolved.

Exactly 1 year later, Fazbear's Fright is re-opening, and this time hiring night guards. Zoey and Kyle get jobs as night guards, as well as several other teens: Zoey's rival Ellie (Elizabeth Gillies), Ellie's boyfriend Ian (Avan Jogia), Ian's best friend Luke (Leon Thomas III), Zoey's 18-year-old younger sister Jill (Miranda Cosgrove), Jill and Zoey's older sister Paige (Daniella Monet), Jill's ex-boyfriend Jimmy (Matthew Underwood), Jill's best friend Tami (Jennette McCurdy), and Jimmy's girl friend Terri (Ariana Grande). Terri is also the ex-best friend of Jill because Terri betrayed their friendship by having an affair with Jimmy but Luke decided to date Jill.

Just like the first film, the owner (J.K. Simmons) threaten to sue them if they quit but Zoey's older brother Stan (Jerry Trainor) protects the group from his threats.

At 12:00 A.M., they get helpful tips from The Phone Dude (Seth Rogen), the first phone guy's replacement. He tells them to make sure they don't accidentally get the place on fire and tells them that they are part of the attraction by starring as a security guard. After his call ends, they are video chatting each other and checking the cameras. They only see the animatronics dismantled but also find some burnt phantom versions of the animatronics. However, when they are attacked by them, they only get a scared but not killed. But it distracts them from checking the systems. At 5:59 A.M., they are relived that it's gonna be over soon but Kyle is confronted by a bunny-like new animatronic named Spring Trap (Patrick Wilson). But the clock strikes 6:00 A.M.

At 7:00 A.M., in high school, Kyle tells them about him but they don't believe him and accuse him of suffering hallucation from the jumpscare.

On Night 2, The Phone Dude reveals that Kyle was right about Spring Trap. He tells them that Spring Trap was once human nicknamed The Purple Man but his real name was Michael Afton, who worked as a technician at Circus Baby's Rentals and Entertainment in 1991. He was claimed to have snuck in the facility and murdered 5 children after putting on an animatronic suit. But the suit malfunctioned and crushed him to death. He was left there for 30 years until Fazbear employees found him and took him to Fazbear's fright. At 1:00 A.M., Phone Dude leaves them recording audios from the first phone guy (Scott Cawthon). After the audio message ends, they are sorry that they didn't believe Kyle. But Tami and Terri are confronted by Spring Trap. Spring Trap pulls them into the vents and kills them. Jimmy, who is on hall duty, doesn't realize what just happened and goes to Tami and Terri's office to make out with them, but finds Spring Trap, who stomps on his head. Everyone is horrified by this but the clock strikes 6:00 A.M.

At 7:00 A.M., they attend Tami, Terri, and Jimmy's funerals and realize that they weren't distracted from the systems, they were distracted so Spring Trap could kill them.

On Night 3, after another recording message ended, they start only watching out for Spring Trap. But phantom Puppet finds them, but can't distract them. However, Spring Trap electrocutes Luke to death. Ian has witness this and becomes to devasteded over loss of his best friend. At 5:57 A.M., Ian and Ellie volunteer to try and avenge Luke, but Ellie is stabbed in the stomach by Spring Trap. Ian is horrified by this and Spring Trap tries to kill him but the clock strikes 6:00 A.M.

At 7:00 A.M., they find Ellie still barely alive on the ground but she is passing away of blood loss. Ellie gives them a tape she found on the floor and watched before she dies in Ian's arms.

At 8:00 A.M., they attend Luke and Ellie's funeral, Kyle tries to talk to Ian but Ian ignores him and says, I'm gonna get that monster.

On Night 4, after the phone call, Spring Trap finds Jill and Paige and stabs Paige's chest repeatedly with a knife, killing her. Jill is also stabbed but escapes with only minor wounds. Stan arrives and sits down in a office to find Spring Trap but is encountered by him and gets his head ripped off. Later in the night, Ian sees him and tries to avenge Ellie and the others but ends up getting whacked in the head with a sledgehammer. Kyle watches this in horror and yells "Ian, no!". Spring Trap hears this and tries to kill him, Zoey, and Jill, but the clock strikes 6:00 A.M.

At 7:00 A.M., they are all saddened by the loss of their friends. They watch the tape Ellie gave them before she died and find out that the animatronics are the missing children. However, they find out that it wasn't the purple guy, it was William. He framed Michael for the murders and made him purple. In truth, he was dying from sickness but his sister found him and scooped him so he can live again. However, he only wants revenge on his father.

On Night 5, they are called by Phone Dude again to inform them that he called the cops for them but he is interrupted by a mysterious man, who he asks to leave. But the man reveals himself to be Spring Trap and quickly kills him. He threatens to come to them and kill them so they won't tell the truth. Jill is stabbed in the upper chest and collapses trying to fight him and the clock strikes 6:00 A.M. Golden Freddy and Spring Trap are confronted by Freddy and gang. Golden Freddy had actually came to apologize to the animatronics for what they went through and that he didn't save them but revealed that Spring Trap isn't really Michael, who instead appears and warns the others that Spring Trap killed them. As they turn against him, Spring Trap then unmasks himself as the abusive owner and he is William Afton himself, who sadistically admits to killing the children and other people from the opening scenes. After insulting his old victims, William grabs Zoey by knifepoint and threatens to kill her. He then calls Kyle selfish for getting too close to the truth and plans to finish Zoey nice and slow, much to everyone's horror. However, Zoey finds a button on the suit and presses it, causing the springlocks to activate. As he lets go of Zoey and starts suffering from blood loss, he grabs his mask and warns them that he will always comes back before he then puts the mask on and activates it's spring locks, crushing him fully inside. He then collapses and seems to have died of blood loss. After this, the animatronics drag his body away with them as Kyle and Zoey leave the area but take Michael with him so he can go to a hospital.

Kyle and Zoey kiss at the end, revealing they might be a couple now. The movie ends with Zoey and Kyle visiting Jill, who survived her stab wound, in the hospital. They sit down with her and Zoey and Jill have a touching sister-to-sister conversation, which ends with them both agreeing that those were some f****d up nights!. The film then cuts back to Fazbear's Fright, which shows the animatronics heads on the floor with a title saying, The End.

In the mid-credits, Spring Trap is in the parts and services room twitching on the floor while Golden Freddy appears and leaves him trapped in there for his crimes.

  • Nathan Kress as Kyle - The Secondary Protagonist of the film and Zoey's new boyfriend but he acted like the true main protagonist of the film.
  • Willem Dafoe as William Afton/Spring Trap - The Main Antagonist of the film.

T.V. Tropes[]

  • A**hole Victim: William Afton, obviously. He might come back but is at least in pain for all he's done.
  • Bad Boss: William Afton just doesn't hide his unpleasantness from anyone
  • Complete Monster: William Afton is obviously this and Complete Monsters page will explain how.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After they suffered 5 nights at a horrible place, Zoey and her surviving friends managed to defeat Spring Trap and leave him to be taken away by the animatronics, who he had wronged. This won't last long but it's still a happy ending.
