Finding Nemo: Alternate Endings

These are some alternate endings of Finding Nemo that never made it to theaters.

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #1

• Marlin: This doesn't concern you kids. It was lucky I didn't tell your parents you were out there. (to Nemo) You know you can't swim well!
• Nemo: I can swim fine, Dad, okay?
• Marlin: No, it's not okay. You shouldn't be anywhere near here. And I- I was right. You know what? You'll start school in a year or two.
• Nemo: NO, DAD! Just because... you're scared of the ocean...
• Marlin: Yes, I know Nemo. But CLEARLY you're not ready, and you're not coming back until you are. You think you can do these things, but you JUST CAN'T, NEMO!
• Nemo: .........(looks up)....I hate you.
• (Tad, Pearl, and Sheldon gasp in horror. Marlin jumps back. Cuts to the anemone. Marlin drags Nemo inside but was still angry at him.)
• Marlin: I can't BELIEVE you said that in front of EVERYONE!!! If you do hate me, you should spend time alone for a while.
• Nemo: Dad?
• Marlin: (turns around) What?
• (Cuts to Nemo, who is dumb from not doing school much, starts swimming upside-down.)
• Nemo: Is this how you swim properly?
• (As the camera zooms out the anemone, the words The End appear)

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #2

• Marlin: I was right. You know what? You'll start school in a year or two.
• Nemo: NO DAD! Just because... you're scared of the ocean..
• Marlin: Clearly, you're not ready, and you're not coming back until you are. You think you can do these things but you JUST CAN'T, NEMO!
• (Nemo, depressed, looks at Marlin with a serious look on his face.)
• Nemo: (sigh) Ok, Dad.
• (Meanwhile, back at the anenome...)
• Nemo: Where are you going, Dad?
• Marlin: (pokes his head through the anemone) Just to... get something.
• (Nemo gives a confused look. A few seconds later, Marlin swam back in the anenome with a strange cone-like object.)
• Nemo: What's that?
• Marlin: Oh, since you didn't learn enough school and promised for nothing to happen to you, but you became stupid. So I decided to make you wear THIS! (puts a dunce hat on Nemo)
• (Cuts to Nemo sitting on a stool looking sad and a little grumpy. Cuts to the ocean floor where the words The End appear.)

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #3

• Marlin: You think you can do these things but you JUST CAN'T, NEMO!
• Nemo: ........(looks up)....I ha-... You know what? I've got a feeling that I want to learn school so I DON'T get stupid, and YOU said nothing will happen to me but get dumb, is that it?
• Marlin: Well, I don't want anything to happen to you, bu-
• Nemo: So, ever since that barracuda incident you became nothing but a worried worry wart! I am six years old and I know what I'm doing, Dad! I know that I am your kid, but that doesn't mean you have to make me ditch school, and I'M TOO YOUNG TO BE STUPID! ......I hate you.
• Marlin: (shocked)
• (The screen fades to black and the words The End appear.)

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #4

• Blue Fish: (gasps) OH MY GOSH! NEMO'S SWIMMING OUT TO SEA!!!
• (Marlin sees that she was right.)
• Marlin: (gasp) (turns angry) NEMO! What do you think you're doing?!?
• (Nemo looks up to the boat. He swims closer with no delay.)
• Marlin: You're gonna get stuck out there then I'll have to get you before another fish does! Get back here! I said get back here! NOW!!!  STOP!!!  If you take one more move mister...
• (Nemo just looks at him. Then Nemo raises his fin.)
• Marlin: DON'T! Don't you dare! If you put ONE fin on that boat... ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME? Don't touch the bo-
• (Nemo, still glaring, raises his fin higher and slaps the boat.  This made Marlin mad.)
• Marlin: (gasp) NEMO!!!
• Tad: .....He touched the butt.
• Marlin: You just paddle your little tail right back here, Nemo!
• (Nemo swims close to Marlin.)
• Marlin: That's right. YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE, YOUNG MAN! Do you hear me? Big, big trouble!
• (No scuba diver comes up or emerges. Nemo finally swims all the way to Marlin.)
• Marlin: Come with me, Nemo! To the anenome!
• Nemo: (sighs) Yes, Dad.
• Mr. Ray: Uh... Do you need help taking your son back home?
• Marlin: No, we're fine.
• (Cuts to Marlin taking Nemo inside the anenome.)
• Marlin: Up to your room!
• Nemo: Where's my room?
• Marlin: It's right up there!
• Nemo: Oh.
• (Nemo swims up to his room sadly, then stops when Marlin continues to scold him.)
• Marlin: And you are going to stay there until I can trust you again, Nemo!
• Nemo: (sigh) Yes, Dad. (swims all the way up to his room)
• (Nemo crawls in bed sadly, then the words The End appear.)

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #5

• Marlin: Has anybody seen a boat? PLEASE! A white boat! It took my son! My son! Help me, please!
• (Just then, a fish swimming in the freeway crashes into Marlin.)
• Dory: LOOK OUT!
• Marlin: Aaah!
• Dory: Aaah!
• (Marlin gets knocked out.)
• Marlin: Ow.
• Dory: OH, OH! Sorry! I didn't see you! Are... Are you okay?
• Marlin: He's gone.... He's gone...
• Dory: There, there, it's alright.
• Marlin: No, he's gone.
• Dory: It'll be okay.
• Marlin: No, no. They took him away. I have to find the boat!
• Dory: Hey, I've seen a boat.
• Marlin: You have?
• Dory: It passed by not too long ago.
• Marlin: A white one?
• Dory: Hi, I'm Dory.
• Marlin: WHERE?!?! Which way?
• Dory: OH! Oh, oh! It went, um, this way! And it went this way! Follow me!
• Marlin: OH, thank you! Thank you!
• Dory: No problem.
• (Marlin and Dory start searching for Nemo. But it doesn't go well.)
• Dory: Will you quit it?
• Marlin: What?
• Dory: I'm trying to swim here. What? Ocean ain't big enough for you? You got a problem, buddy? Do ya? Do ya? Do ya? You want a piece of me? Oooh! I'm scared! WHAAAAAAT?
• Marlin: Wait a minute.
• Dory: STOP FOLLOWING ME, OKAY?
• Marlin: You're showing me which way the boat went! An-... Wait.
• Dory: What? What is it?
• Marlin: Well...
• Dory: I forgot to tell you, I have a short-term memory loss. Betcha you didn't know that, huh?
• Marlin: Call me crazy, but I think my son deserves this.
• Dory: What?
• Marlin: Yeah. I don't want anything to happen to him,  but he just swam over to the boat and just touched it and... he got what was coming.
• Dory: Butbutbutbutbutbutbut...
• Marlin: Something is wrong with you. Really. I'm going back to the anenome.
• (Marlin swims away as the words The End appear.)

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #6

• [Bruce takes Marlin and Dory to the abandoned ship where two other sharks Chum and Anchor swim around.]
• Anchor: There you are, Bruce, finally.
• Bruce: We got company.
• Anchor: It’s about time, mate.
• Chum: We’ve already gone through all the snacks and I’m still starving.
• Anchor: We almost had a feeding frenzy.
• Chum: Come on, let’s get this over with.
• [The sharks eat Marlin and Dory as the words The End appears]

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #7

• Dory:Hey, what are you doing?
• Marlin: It’s gone. I’ve lost the mask.
• Dory: What, did you drop it?
• Marlin: You dropped it! That was my only chance of finding my son, now it’s gone.
• Dory: Hey, Mr. Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do?
• Marlin: I don’t want a know what you gotta do.
• Diry: [singing] Just keep swimming. What do we do? We swim.
• Marlin: Dory, no singing.
• Dory: I love to swim! When you want to swim...
• Marlin: See, I’m going to get stuck now with that song now it’s in my head!
• Dory: Sorry.
• Marlin: Dory, do you see anything?
• Dory: Something’s got me!
• Marlin: That was me. I’m sorry.
• Dory: Who's that?
• Marlin: Who could it be? It’s me.
• Dory: Are... Are you my conscience?
• Marlin: Yeah. I’m your conscience. We haven’t spoken for a while. How are you?
• Dory: Can’t complain.
• Marlin: Good. Now, Dory. I want you to tell me..do you see anything?
• [A light can be seen in the back.]
• Dory: I see... I see a light.
• Marlin: A light?
• Dory: Yeah. Over there. Hey, conscience. Am I dead?
• Marlin: No, I see it too. What is it?
• Dory: It’s so pretty.
• Marlin: Hi, I’m feeling happy. Which is a big deal for me.
• Dory: I want to touch it.
• [The light begins to move.]
• Marlin: Hey, come back. Come on back here.
• Dory: [singing] I’m gonna get you. I’m gonna get you. I’m gonna swim with you.
• Marlin: I’m gonna get you. I’m gonna be your best friend. Good feeling’s gone.
• (the light reveals that it's actually from an anglerfish. Instead of running away, the anglerfish eats the two fish as the words The End appears.]

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #8

• Marlin: The clownfish is the winner! We did it! We’re gonna... Dory? Oh, no.
• [Marlin swims back to find Dory in the Jellyfish fields. He finds Dory tangled in the Jellyfish's tentacles. He manages to get her out.
• Dory [weakly] Am I disqualified?
• Marlin: No, you’re doing fine! You’re, you’re actually winning! But you gotta stay awake. Where does P. Sherman live?
• Dory: P..Sherman..Wallaby Way…Sydney…
• [Marlin looks around and finds the exit.]
• Marlin: That’s it!
• [Marlin attempts swim out of here but a Jellyfish blocked his path and the two fish were eaten by the Jellyfish. The words The End appears.]

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #9

• Dory: I think he says we’ve stopped.
• Marlin: Of course, we’ve stopped. Just stop trying to speak whale, you’re gonna make things worse. What is that noise?
• [The inside of the whale growls as the water begins to sink.]
• Marlin: Oh, no. Look what you did. The water’s going down! It’s going down!
• Dory: Really? You sure about that?
• Marlin: Look, it’s already half-empty!
• Dory: Hmm. I’d say it’s half full.
• Marlin: Stop that! It’s half-empty!
• [The whale let out a roar.]
• Dory: OK, that one was a little tougher. He either said we should go to the back of the throat or he wants a root beer float.
• Marlin: Of course he wants us to go there! That’s eating us! How do I taste, Moby? Huh? Do I taste good!? You tell him I’m not interested in being lunch!!
• Dory: OK. He...
• Marlin: STOP TALKING TO HIM!!
• (the whale's tongue goes up, making Marlin and Dory fall, they grab the tongue)
• Marlin: What is going on!?
• Dory: I’ll check! Wha..
• Marlin: No! No more whale! You can’t speak whale!
• Dory: Yes, I can!
• Marlin: No, you can’t! You think you could do these things but you can’t Nemo!
• [The whale let out a bellow.]
• Dory: OK.
• (Dory lets go, but Marlin grabs her fin.
• Marlin: Dory!
• Dory: He says it’s time to let go! Everything’s gonna be all right!
• Marlin: How do you know!? How do you know something bad isn’t gonna happen!?
• Dory: I don’t!
• [Marlin lets go as the two fish fall. Instead of blowing water out of it's blowhole, it eats them. The words The End appears.]

Finding Nemo Alternate Ending #10

• Dory: All right, do any of these boats look familiar to you?
• Marlin: No, but the boat has to be here somewhere! Come on, Dory. We’re gonna find it.
• Dory: I’m totally excited. [yawns] Are you excited?
• Marlin: Dory, wake up. Come on.
• Dory: Duck!
• Marlin: That’s not a duck. It’s a pelican!
• [The pelican swoops down and scooped up the fish. He rested down on a dock, and swallow Marlin and Dory. The words The End appears.]
• Nemo Hugs Marlin And Swims Off With Mr.Ray.
• Dory Makes Marlin Think He's Stupid,So Her Left Her All Alone. Marlin Remembers The Attack From The Beginning,And Cries As The Word The End Appears.
