Mary Elizabeth Sullivan (born January 12, 2021) is a main character in the TV series, The Sullivans.

Biography[]

Born in Denver, Colorado in January 2021. Mary was born during COVID-19 pandemic when her mother was high-risked of the virus due to Placenta Previa. However, Dr. Gary O'Meara and other doctors did a C-Section to save Katherine and Mary was delivered safety.

The Sullivans[]

Season 1[]

Mary often spends time with her parents, brother and grandfather. She, at times provides some wisdom to her parents, including a case where a stepmother was accused of abuse. She and Finn are bullied in school because of a case their parents worked on in the past and Ryan tries to stop the bullying without letting Drake and Katherine know about it, though they later do find it about it and Katherine herself puts an end to the bullying. On their parents' 12th anniversary, Finn and Mary learn the story of how their parents first met and became a couple.

Later, as Katherine closes in on identifying the White Tiger, an assassin who targets kill his targets and their families without compunction or hesitation, she and the rest of her family are almost killed in a restaurant bombin. Mary and Finn are placed in protection in the home of Ryan's friend, Judge Adam Wellington, being guarded by officers, FJU detectives and their uncle, Chicago Police Sergeant Owen Graves. As the White Tiger, revealed to be former FBI/HRT member Richard Coleman, and his minions attack the house, they are held off until Drake, Katherine and reinforcements arrive. After Coleman is killed, Drake and Katherine joyfully reunited with Finn and Mary, and decide to take time off from work to spend time with them.

Season 2[]

Mary becomes a subject of bullying once again by two schoolgirls in a local café until a waitress named Audrey defends Mary and orders the bullies to leave. She becomes friends with Audrey despite Audrey's adopted father's threats and Finn's warnings. Mary keeps her friendship with Audrey a secret from her family, until Ryan informs Drake and Katherine. Despite some mixed opinions about Mary's new friend, Drake and Katherine grow to like Audrey, but are concerned after learning about Audrey's adopted father. However, Mary brushes their worries off, not telling the truth about Mr. Evans' true nature including the part where Mary catches Evans with a younger woman. On Christmas Eve, she eventually reveals to her parents and grandfather about Audrey's adopted father's stern treatment during her meeting Mary at in the park.

Mary continues to visit Audrey in secret, avoiding Evans. However, one night, when she sneaks out to visit Audrey, Mary overhears the argument between Evans and Andrea Donnell and records it on her phone. Mary returns home late and shows her parents and grandfather the video she took of the confrontation between Andrea and Evans. The truth shocks and horrifies Drake and Katherine, especially when they realize that their daughter is a witness. Mary then comes clean to them about Evans being in a relationship with a much younger woman, and that she didn't know he was a cop until now. Drake and Katherine are initially furious at Mary for keeping such secrets, while Finn scolds Mary for befriending Audrey in the first place and not telling the truth sooner. However, Drake and Katherine tell Finn to stop and send him to his room and then comfort their upset daughter over the situation. Days later, Mary left worried about Audrey after she disappear. Mary attempts to sneak out but Finn catch her in act. Mary tells Finn that she might know where Audrey is, since she once mentioned that Evans owns part of a restaurant in Downtown Denver. Finn helps Mary and sets out to find Audrey after she called their father. Finn and Mary arrive in the restaurant and then they saw a tense conversation between Evans, Congressman Ryder, Secret Service Agent Williams and other agents outside as they argue about Audrey's fate. Then, Finn swung a hammer to a nearby car, setting off the car alarm. With the men distracted by the alarm, Audrey breaks loose and runs into the different direction, running Finn and Mary on the way. Finn, Mary and Audrey escape unharmed while Evans and the other men are arrested. Later, Drake and Katherine reunite with Finn and Mary and praise them of saving Audrey and contacting them about the restaurant, but express disappointment and ground them for running off to find Audrey and nearly getting themselves killed in the process. Mary and Finn accepted their punishment despite Finn getting annoyed with his parents.

Days later, the Sullivan family temporarily move to the Virginia home for the human trafficking trial.

Personality[]

Mary is a typical innocent child who loves swimming and dancing (especially ballet), but can sometimes be wise beyond her years as well. She also has an affinity for animals, particularly dogs. Mary is also very organized like her mother and she shares some of her father's traits. On season 2, Mary expresses her soft side when she become friends with a 19-year-old waitress Audrey Evans and shows her bravery when Audrey's "adopted"/biological father Robert Evans attempts to scare her off from seeing Audrey. On season 6, she continued to show her bravery by standing up for Simon Jenkins against his abusive father Ray during the standoff in Rocky Mountain National Park.
