Trivia[]

  • The film was originally scheduled for release on June 5, 2020 but was pushed back once due to the release date change of Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, twice due to frequent updates for the game adding new animatronics at the start of a new month and four times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and moved up once after The King's Man (2021) was pushed back from March 12 to August 20, 2021, leaving the film with no March 12 theatrical partners.
    • On October 25, 2019, the film was pushed back to July 31 as the early access for Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery would be released on November 22 and the game would officially release three days later.
    • On December 20, 2019, the film was pushed back to August 7.
    • On January 24, 2020, the film was pushed back to November 6.

  • Even though the film has "AR" in its title, it is not in the augmented reality game genre.
  • Through December 20, 2019 to July 3, 2020, new antagonists were added to the film as Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery continued to add new animatronics to the game every seasonal update.

      • Santa Claus Bender would be the last antagonist to be added to the film as each protagonist would have a chance to taunt the added antagonists with their full frontal nudity. Future antagonists will instead be added in the revival of Five Nights in Robot Hell: The Series.
  • On May 1, 2020, it was announced that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment had taken over non-Japanese home video distribution after Universal Pictures Home Entertainment dropped out of all future Zachary, Grace and Lexia films due to the studio no longer releasing movies in AMC Theatres in response to the streaming success of Trolls World Tour (2020).
