Beastcrocs are a group of crocodilians that are descended from a group of prehistoric Pristichampsus that survived and diversified into many different variety of forms that competed successfully with the already-flourishing mammals. Depending on a species, they range from small agile insectivorous runners, to medium-sized ambush hunters, to large toothy killers. They come in more than 350 species, being found across the world, from Eurasia, to Africa, to Australia, to North America, to South America, but not Arctic, Antarctica, northern Europe (including Siveria), northern North America, New Zealand, nor in southern South America, where these places are too cold form beastcrocs to live in. While most species are cold-blooded (sluggish) beast, some species are small so they have to be warm-blooded, being active all day long, keep their bodies going even at night.
