The range of the California Rainforest.

The California Rainforest is a vast tropical rainforest located from Northern California all the way to Southern California. It is one of the world's largest rainforests, along with the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil, South America. It is home to almost as much species as there were many species in the Amazon Rainforest during the Late Pleistocene. Despite being mostly rainforest, there are few cities and other man-made residence in California including San Diego, Los Angeles, Aneihem, Fontana, Vallejo, Valencia, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Long Beach, Montery Bay, Oakland, San Fransisco, Folsom, Sacremento, Oroville, Chico, Gridley, Biggs, Linda, Olivehurst, Live Oak, Plumas Lake, Wheatland, Brownsville, Beale Air Force Base, Yuba City, and Marysville, where, even in these places, wildlife of all kinds are protected.
