Background
Early life
Emma was born on May 31, 1990 in Charleston, West Virginia to Rebecca Valentine and Albert Jones. Growing up, she was an only child, and did not have many friends in school, except for the cheerleading squad and football team, and was mostly bullied. After her father's job transferred, Emma was enrolled into a school called The Citadel somewhere in Tree Hill, North Carolina. Once Emma adjusted to her life in Tree Hill, she'd met Jacob James, whom she started dating at the age of twelve. She'd eventually became known as "church girl" due to her religious beliefs and also as the future Mrs. James.
