Dream Team is an Australian-Japanese-Canadian animated television series for teens that premiered on Best Two on 20 December 2019. The series was created by Best Television and Capcom.
With the setting inspired by the city of Sydney, the series follows a character named Ethan (real name of The EAS Mapper, middle name and last name are never revealed), who is characterised by his abundance of energy, math and politics. He lives with Trucy, more on that later; Phoenix (only up to Season 11). Overarching themes include the focus on over-exaggerating, the ‘whip’, with all of the characters representing at least one thing interesting. The series was created and produced entirely in Australia, Canada (for French translation) and Japan (for Japanese translation and Capcom).
Dream Team expects high viewership for the 2020 Xmas special. Things don’t click right away! The program's production company will develop merchandise to promote the show. A new series will be released in 2021, and a Christmas special will broadcast every year. And an Easter one. And a Halloween one. And also a New Years one.
Characters
Main
Ethan, one of the main protagonists of the series. Running for a political candidate for the Liberals, his plans at transportising the whole country always fail miserably. Always tries to go to Trucy’s magic shows, however, almost always makes it anyway.
Trucy, another one of the main protagonist. Does have a magic show, which makes a lot of money.
Maya, the main antagonist of the series. Only an antagonist because of the Phoenix-Maya fight on posters.
Recurring
Phoenix Wright, defence attorney (up until murder in Season 11) and minor protagonist.
Pearl, which normally just sits around DOING NOTHING EXCEPT PLAYING WITH A BALL. Typical.
Notable Guest Stars
Apollo Justice and Athena. Apollo was murdered in the Phoenix-Maya fight on posters. Athena was murdered later, in Season 7.
