Doomlord are a Norwegian doom metal band formed in 2003 by Jansen Aagnir Frieg Tyrkeneg (Count Doomicus), formerly of influential Norwegian epic doom metal band In The Age of Dead Kings. The band combines elements of both epic doom metal (Doomicus' vocals, symphonic elements, fantastical lyrics) and funeral doom (down-tuned guitars, minimal drums, and sometimes mournful lyrics).

After being disappointed with In The Age of Dead Kings' eighth album The Heavenly War, Count Doomicus decided to leave the band and take a break from music.
