Plot

Arriving on the planet Fricassee World in the center of the Disney worlds, Cygnet Fricassee (Paul Rudd) and his robot minion H-X (Joel McHale) seek the Foundation Elements, the cornerstones of time and space itself, in a bid to merge the dimensions into one under his control. When H-X voices his doubts of Fricassee's plans (as anyone who tries to safely harness the Elements can possibly get killed if not careful), Fricassee decides he does not need H-X anymore and banishes him to the planet Reptune. When Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman), Kevin Flynn (Alan Oppenheimer), and Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) are pulled into vortexes (each in possession of one of the Elements), Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly), Sam Flynn (Bruce Willis), and Elsa (Idina Menzel) all jump in after them.

Along the way, they gather the five keystones while traveling to the worlds Alice In Wonderland, Hannah Montana, Fantasia, The Chronicles of Narnia, Cars, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. However, when they reach Fricassee World's Foundation Prime, H-X is ambushed, and Fricassee creates the Foundation of all Dimensions (which is just of purple square). Their friends are turned into a monster-sized mutant called the Chili. Fearing another failure could lead to the same thing happening to them, the villains bail out on Fricassee. With H-X gone, Ralph falls in despair over the loss of his friend, but Elsa and Sam convince him to help stop the Chili, restoring his confidence.

Ralph, Sam, and Elsa free Vanellope, Kevin, and Kristoff from the spell and destroy the piece controlling them. The three recruit the heroes they met to their cause. While Mickey Mouse (Bret Iwan) and H-X (who is revived) work on a plan to rap Fricassee in a rift loop, Ralph, Sam, and Elsa return to Foundation Prime, fighting Fricassee along the way. Ralph destroys the Foundation of all Dimensions, angering Fricassee, who grows into enormous size, before being sucked into a rift loop by Elsa. Using a special device that Mickey and H-X designed, Ralph, Sam, and Elsa seal him into an endless prison, saving the Disney multi-verse. Back on Reptune, the dimension residents celebrate their differences.

Disney Dimensions received mixed reviews from critics, with a 50% approval rating on the site Rotten Tomatoes. The site's consensus reads, "Though Disney Dimensions has colorful animation, interesting visuals, and an all-star voice cast, the plot unpleasantly trades its undeniably family-friendly entertainment value for a overuse of Intellectual properties from The Walt Disney Company". On Metacritic, it has a score of 54 out of 100 based on 40 critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews". Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film a grade of "A" on an A+ to F scale".
