Disney's The Girl and the Ghost is an animated short film follows an Inuit preteen girl named Kuvianak who unknowingly suffering from major depressive disorder encounters an Artic wolf who, indirectly changes the way she look at things and herself for the better.
Characters
Kuvianak: A self loathing 13 year old girl who believes herself to be responsible for her family's suffering following the death of her father a year prior.
Siku- An Artic wolf ,with a habit of disappearing and reappearing out of nowhere, who came across Kuvianak. They are nicknamed "Ghost", because of this.
Kuvianak's father who is concerned about his daughter's mental health. He is transgender.

Kuvianak: (tiredly) You can eat me if you like. I don't have anything left to do with myself. My father will understand. No wait, come back! Why won't you eat me?
Kuvianak: Why does dad had to leave us?
You did everything you could. We all did.
Kuvianak: You're just saying that to make me feel better.
Your father knew his chance of surviving chemo was slim. He only pushes forward because of his love for this family. His family.
Kuvianak: It's still not good enough.
What more do you want from this, Kuvianak?
Kuvianak: I was the one who had begged him to get treatment.
You tried to help.
Kuvianak: And i killed him.
You didn't.
Kuvianak: What did?
Nothing did. I guess it was his time to go.
Kuvianak: He didn't have to leave us, though.
Nobody lives forever. We come and go. That's life.
