Digimon is a series of American science fiction fantasy adventure action films directed by Robert Stromberg (1-4), Joseph Kosinski (5-7) and Justin Lin (8-10) based on the media franchise of the same name created by Akiyoshi Hongo and Toei Animation.

Film series

Digimon (20**)

Main article: Digimon

A group of youths who gets transported to a strange dimension called the "Digital World" while they are at summer camp where they discover that they are in a land where digital creatures called "Digimon" dwell. Befriending seven of the Digimon, the youths learn that they have the ability to help their partners digitally evolve (digivolve) into stronger, powerful forms that can combat enemies for a short amount of time. Setting off on their journey, the youths start searching for a way home. While there, they learn that they are the "DigiDestined", chosen children with compatibilities with Digimon, and they are the only hope in destroying an evil digmon that is slowly about to consuming the Digital World.

Digimon: The Dark Network (20**)

Two years after the events of their adventure in the Digital World, The Digidestined are now gone on with their own lives to live, but somehow, they get transported back to the Digital World by Gennai when an evil Digimon plans to rule a continent in the Digital World called the Server Continent.

Digimon: The Battle for Earth (20**)

A year after their second adventure in the Digital World, the DigiDestined have moved on with their lives. But they recieve a message from Gennai that reveal that there's an eighth DigiDestined and that an evil Digimon named Myotismon and his army are heading to San Francisco to find him/her. They decide to find the Eighth member before Myotismon does.

Gennai

Patrick Stewart, later Arthur Darvill and Christoph Waltz plays Gennai, a data-based human in the form of an old man who serves as the DigiDestined's guide in the first three films.

In The Fate of Two Worlds, Gennai regains his youthful appearance as he meets his old friend Azulongmon and is entrusted with one of his DigiCores to give to the DigiDestined in the summer. Gennai then reveals he, along with other members of his kind, have been working to remove all information gathered by goverments all around the world regarding the Digital World, to protect it from unfriendly interest. Gennai later appears, revealing to have possessed Gatomon's Tail Ring the entire time as he explains that was so she can Armor & DNA Digivolve like the others.

In Infection, he reappears, in the post credit scene, he is the hidden true main antagonist

Emma Watson plays Dr. Sara Jean Aubrey, a I.T. computer expert and scientist for D.A.T.S. who works closely with Walsh. She is the first one to notice Myotismon arriving to earth. When Myotismon start his invasion, she joins Tai, Agumon and Kari (along with Damon and Fallon) to hide from Myotismon and his army.
