Despicable Me: Minion Racing is a racing video game for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It is owned by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment. This racing video game has been released on April 12, 2019.

Gameplay

Despicable Me: Minion Racing is very similar to Nintendo's Mario Kart franchise where players can race around the world in various continents, collecting bananas on the track. Players can also obtain items by running over question boxes to get an item at random. When left behind, they get a powerful item to help make a good comeback. In the Main Menu, the player can select one of the game modes: Grand Prix, Versus Race, Rally Battle and Time Trials. In Grand Prix, one or two players can compete against AI-controlled computer racers in four different racing courses. In Versus Race, 1-4 players can simultaneously race against each other in any race track he or she prefers. In Rally Battle, this mode is very similar to Mario Kart where players can battle it out on ten battle arenas. And in Time Trials, the player can race around the course for the fastest time in three laps. As of October 4, 2019, this game now features the "Weather Control" system where the player can change the weather in some of the racing and Rally Battle courses in the 1.4.0 updtae.
