Degrassi: White Flag is a fanfiction episode in season 9 that takes place right before Innocent When You Dream. The episode focuses on the negative effects of Anya and Sav's breakup with the latter suffering horrifying consequences after Anya attempts suicide.

The fanfic is named after the song "White Flag" by Dido.

Plot[]

The fanfiction picks up where Why Can't This Be Love part 2 left off. After Sav Bhandari breaks up with Anya MacPherson, Anya breaks down in tears after watching a video that Chantay Black made on the video annoucments. Unable to cope with the breakup, Anya runs out of the classroom in tears and goes to the bathroom where she throws a tremendous fit. During her episode, she throws a shoe at a mirror shattering it to bits. When she seemingly regains her composure, Anya takes out her cellphone and records herself saying that Sav doesn't deserve her anymore and she won't live like this for long. She then post the recording on her Facerange page, takes a shard of glass from the broken mirror and enters a stall.

Meanwhile, a concerned Alli Bhandari confides in Clare Edwards and Jenna Middleton about Sav acting gloomy and glum but Jenna dismisses it as depression and goes to the bathroom. Once she enters the bathroom, Jenna find a river of blood coming from the one of the stalls and follows the blood to find Anya cutting her arms and goes to warn the principle, Archie "Snake" Simpson. In his office, he gets a call from his stepdaughter, Emma Nelson saying she planing to stay in town for awhile with her friend Manny Santos. Snake agrees but Jenna bursts into the office and warns him about Anya in the bathroom. A hysterical Jenna and Snake find Anya in the bathroom bleeding and on the verge of death.

Snake then instructs Jenna to call an ambulence in the office which she did manage. After calling 911, she bumps into K.C. Guthrie who asks her why she's crying. As she explains, the ambulence appears and rushes Anya to the hospital. At the dot, Manny sees the ambulence coming from the school and decides to check it out but Emma tells her that Anya tried to kill herself. Manny dismisses it as a lie until Emma shows her Anya's suicide video and they rush to the hospital.
