Degrassi: A Kiss From A Rose is a horror fanfiction. The plot revolves around Clare Edwards and her friends get caught in a murder revenge plot by an old enemy during a saturday detention. This is from season 11.
Plot[]
The fanfiction opens after Underneath It All, Maya Matlin is doing homework but was interrupted by her sister, Katie Matlin who tells her that she is leaving for a sleepover at Clare's house. Maya wishes her good luck and Katie leaves. After Katie leaves, Maya gets a call on her cellphone thinking it is her boyfriend Zig Novak but instead hears heavy breathing on the other end and she hangs up. Spooked, she continues her homework only to hear a crashing sound downstairs that makes her jump. Now scared, Maya races downstairs to see that the back door is smashed apart. To her horror, Maya runs back up to her room and locks the door. When she is about to call the police, her phone suddenly rings and she answers it to reveal a man's voice saying, "This is For Clare.". Maya's eyes widen in horror at the sound of the voice and hangs up.
Maya tries to call the police again but an axe suddenly breaks through the door, she screams in pure horror and escapes through her bedroom window as the intruder continues to chop her door down. Maya sneaks past windows in order not to seen by the attacker. When she looks into one of the windows, the intruder is seen in black and wearing a china doll mask is staring back at her. Maya screams as the figure breaks through the window and attacks her but Maya fights him off, causing her to fall off the roof. Maya lands in the grass in the backyard where she tries to flee but gets tangled in a nearby swing set. She then sees her attacker rushing out of the back door armed with the axe and tries to decapitate her but Maya dodges the swing and knocks the axe out of his hands with her foot, causing her to fall from the swings.
Now free, Maya runs to the fence and climbs over it not before the attacker take out a hunting knife and stabs her in the leg. Maya succeeds climbing over the fence with her bleeding leg, runs over to a neighbor's house but the attacker climbs over the fence and catches up to her and grabs her by the hair and slits her throat. As Maya lies on the ground clutching her bleeding throat, the attacker proceeds to to stab her numerous times.
The neighbor hears the commotion and comes out of his house to discover Maya's dead body tied to a chair on the patio. Meanwhile, Clare Edwards is currently having a nightmare about the day that Adams stalked her sister Darcy and as she mouths to Clare to call 911, Adams suddenly breaks her neck and tells Clare you're next, causing her to snap awake screaming. Katie suddenly enters the room and consoles her, telling her that everything's ok.
The next morning, Clare and Katie go to Degrassi high school where their friends Eli Goldsworthy, Alli Bhandari, K.C. Guthrie, Jenna Middleton and Connor Deslauriers are waiting for them. As they go to class, Katie gets a call on her cellphone from mother saying that Maya got killed last night which stuns her. Now devastated, Katie goes into the school without the others which leaves Clare and the others confused until news vans and reporters arrive to report the story from last night. The news of Maya's death hits the entire school hard especially Zig who is falling in love with her. At lunch, Fiona Coyne sits with Clare, Alli and Jenna to discuss an assembly for Maya's memorial but the discussion was interrupted by Dave Turner who begins to make a joke out of it.
This sets Zig off and begins a fight with him but is quickly broken up by Archie "Snake" Simpson who gives them both saturday detention. At the memorial, Alli felt sorry for her because they had a fight about exposing her older brother's relationship with Miss Oh and she slapped her. After the memorial, Katie burst into tears because of her sister's death and Adam Torres feels sorry for her as he watches her cry. Adam goes to Clare and the rest of the gang to plan a house warming party which fellow students Wesley Betenkamp, Tori Santamaria and Imogen Moreno think is a good idea but Snake is against it because the authorities already set a curfew for 8pm. He then warns them that if they are out past that hour, they will receive saturday detention.
That afternoon, Jake Martin invites Clare to dinner at The Dot while everyone goes to Adam's house for the house warming party. At Adam's party, Katie is cheered up by K.C. who tells her about a similar tragedy at Bakers Farm in Texas. Alli tells her about Sav Bhandari's death at the farm and cries in her room for weeks when she heard that he died. Back at The Dot, Clare mentions about her sister's death at Baker's Farm but Jake tells her not to think about the past and goes to the restroom. While in the restroom, Jake finishes using the toilet and takes Clare home.
When the clock struck 8pm, They make it to Clare's house and Jake takes her to the door and kisses her goodbye. He drives off and sees a blood red van with man calling for help. Jake pulls over and the man tells him that his van broke down due to engine trouble. As Jake looks under the hood, the man suddenly starts slamming the hood onto Jake, knocking him out. With Jake unconscious, the man then carries him into the van thus kidnapping him.
Back at the party, Fiona realizes it's past curfew and convinces everyone to leave. K.C. knows she is right and leaves with Jenna but they are caught by Snake, who gives them all saturday detention. A distraught Imogen who got the detention leaves the party in tears. While driving, she decides to run away from home but the man's blood red van suddenly hits her vehicle, causing her to crash off the road.
Imogen wakes up from the crash and hears a voice saying "This Is For Clare". As Imogen turns around to see who hit her, an axe suddenly smashes through the windshield. Imogen screams as she sees Maya's killer trying to grab her but she unbuckles her seatbelt and smashes her window open. As Imogen tries to escape her car, the killer decapitates her with the axe.
The next day at school, everyone especially Clare and Alli are concerned of Jake and Imogen's absences. Snake calls Clare and Alli to the office to question Jake and Imogen's disappearance but Clare tells him that she and Jake went out to dinner together and he brought her home by curfew. Snake offers Clare to look after her friends in saturday detention and she agrees. Meanwhile, Wesley goes to the bathroom to urinate but hears banging noises coming from a nearby stall and discovers an ipad showing Jake's abduction and Imogen's severed head in a toilet. A terrified Wesley goes to warn Snake but the killer burst out from one of the stalls and slashes his throat, killing him.
Outside the bathroom, Eli hears the commotion and enters the bathroom to find Wesley dying and a message written in blood on the wall saying "This Is For Clare". He informs the incident to Snake who then suspends school for a few weeks due to Wesley's death. That night, Clare is visited by Eli who tells her that the recent deaths were not related for the Bakers farm massacre and tells her a clue that he found with Wesley's body. He shows her the picture of the message he found on the wall. Clare realizes that someone is out for revenge to kill her. Eli then consoles her and then they have sex.
The next day on saturday, Clare, Eli, Adam, Fiona, Jenna, K.C., Katie, Alli, Dave, Tori, Zig and Connor all appear for saturday detention. Snake gives them the rules which includes no talking and wants everyone to write a 2000 word essay about their punishment. He then explains that detention is from 7am to 6pm and leaves. Adam lets out a loud roar about how stupid the punishment is and storms out. He then goes to Snake's office and demands to go home but finds the office empty. As he returns to class, he sees a figure in the hall heading for the gymnasium and decides to follow him.
Back in the classroom, Eli explains to the others that the killer is after Clare and writes or utters the phrase,"This Is For Clare." before each murder. K.C. suggests that they should investigate the crime scene from yesterday and Jenna along with everyone else agrees. They decide to go to the bathroom hoping to find some clues to the recent events. Meanwhile, Adam is in the locker room looking for the figure but sees steam coming from the showers. He investigates the shower room and gets lost in the steam. As a frustrated Adam tries to leave, he bumps into a figure and thinks he is Snake until the figure pulls out a knife.
Snake is in his office staring at a headline of Emma, Jay and Manny surviving the Baker's farm massacre until he hears a scream pierce the silence of the school. Snake goes to check on the students only to find the classroom empty. He sets out to find the kids but bumps into K.C. who explains that the killer is after Clare and everybody is looking for clues to the recent events. Snake denies this and asks K.C. where Adam is but he told him that he left. Snake angrilly sends K.C. to class and looks for Adam. He make his way to the locker room where he sees Adam crawling out of the shower room bleeding heavily from stab wounds. Snake tries to help him but the killer appears and drags Adam back into the shower room where he is stabbed to death right before Snake's eyes. Snake goes to warn the kids but the killer (fresh from killing Adam) dashes out of the shower room and knocks him out.
Eli and the kids plan on splitting up to find some clues to Jake's disappearance. Jenna goes to find K.C. and sees him in the classroom. Jenna offers him to help find clues but he initially refuses but agrees. Zig goes to look for clues in the fitness center but instead finds Jake, barely alive and dishelved from the other night tied up to a chair in the weight room. Zig tries to help him but the killer enters the room and attacks Zig. Zig fights back but the killer over powers and garrotes him on one of the weight machines, killing him. Meanwhile, Alli, Tori and Fiona search the locker rooms and the gymnasium. Alli searches the boy's locker room to find it ransacked and covered in blood. Near the shower room entrance, she finds the ipad which contain the evidence of Jake's abduction to her shock. As she leaves, Alli hears distressed moans only to find Adam's disembowled corpse and Snake strung up with jump ropes between showerheads. Snake tells Alli that the killer killed Adam and intructs her to get the rest of her friends out of the school as soon as she can.
He then hears the killer entering the locker room and tells Alli to leave. Alli immediately leaves as the killer enters the shower room with a pair of scissors. Alli peaks through the door to witness the killer stabbing Snake in the eyes with the scissors before tearing his clothes off and torturing him by whipping towels at him. Alli slowly starts to back away but sees Connor walk in as the killer jams the scissors into Snake's naval and tears his insides out. Now beyond terrifed, Alli suddenly screams at Connor to run attracting the killer's attention towards him. Alli tackles the killer to protect Connor but is stabbed in the stomach.
Connor runs out of the locker room and runs into Katie who tells him that she found Jake in the fitness room but no sign of Zig. Connor tells her that the killer killed Snake and is attacking Alli. They rush back inside to find Alli lying on the ground in a puddle of her own blood realizing they were too late to save her. Katie goes to the athletic office to call the police but discovers the phone is dead. Meanwhile, K.C. and Jenna head to the cafeteria to find something to eat until they bump into Connor who warns them to get the others out of the school immediately. Before Jenna can ask why, Connor is suddenly stabbed in the back by the killer who severs his spinal cord.
This sets K.C. off and attacks the killer as Jenna flees. K.C. grabs a nearby kitchen knife and tries to stab the killer but the killer grabs him by the neck and throws him over the counter tops. K.C. regains consciousness and continues to attack the killer but his efforts are futile as the killer overpowers him. K.C. gains the upper hand and stabs the killer in the arm. The killer picks up K.C. by the throat and pins him to the wall with the hunting knife, killing him. Before leaving, he takes K.C.'s knife and leaves Connor for dead.
Tori and Fiona are still looking for clues until Katie appears and tells them that she and Connor found Adam, Snake and Alli dead in the locker room. She then states that the killer is inside the school and they should leave now. Clare and Eli head into the locker room to look for clues but find the bodies of Alli, Adam and Snake. Eli sees the footage of Jake being captured and shows it to Clare. They decide to find the others and meet back at the classroom. Meanwhile, Jenna still shaken from the ordeal and heads back to the classroom to hide but not before grabbing a fire hatchet.
Katie, Tori and Fiona try to leave but they find that the front door is locked with chains. Dave suddenly appears and asks the girls on what they are doing. They tell him to go back to the classroom and they will explain it later. Dave returns to the classroom where he is accidentally struck in the chest by an axe wielding Jenna. Jenna tries everything to stop the bleeding but Dave slowly dies. As Jenna grieves over his body, the killer suddenly appears and stabs Jenna in the head with the kitchen knife, killing her.
As night falls, Clare and Eli find Tori, Fiona and Katie at the school's entrance and they return to the classroom. When they get back to the classroom, they find the bodies of Dave and Jenna and Eli shows the footage of Jake being kidnapped. They decide to find Jake but the killer appears once again and stabs Eli several times, seemingly killing him. The killer then chases the girls throughout the school. Tori gets separated from the group and decides to hide in the cafeteria kitchen where she finds Connor and K.C.'s body.
Connor tells Tori to get everyone else out of the school but she tells him that Eli got killed by the killer. As she picks up the incapacitated Connor, the killer appears and stabs Connor through the neck, killing him. Tori flees the kitchen which results in a huge chase. She is then eventually tracked down and brutally guillotined in the neck with a paper slicer in the art room. Meanwhile, Clare, Fiona and Katie hide in the weight room where they find a tied up Jake and Zig's corpse. As Fiona unties Jake, the killer appears and reveals himself as Adams, the man that stalked Darcy Edwards. He reveals his motive to Clare that she called the cops on him while he was meeting Darcy. He then explains that he thought about revenge ever since and he escaped due to a prison riot.
Clare explains that he will never get away with this and he shouts that he will after he kills her. Adams then snaps and tries to attack Clare but Jake breaks out of his bindings and shoves Clare out of the way only to be stabbed in the chest. Clare is shocked of seeing Jake die trying to save her and flees with Fiona and Katie. As the girls escape, Adams throws his knife into the back of Katie's head, killing her. Clare and Fiona then hide in a classroom where they see a gravely injured Eli stumble into the room. As they tend him, Adams finds them and repiles to Clare that he always liked her sister. Fiona tries blugeon him from behind with a baseball bat but Adams quickly notices and stabs her in the stomach.
This sets Clare off as she and Eli try to attack him but Adams knocks out Eli and starts strangling Clare. As Clare loses consciousness, Fiona who survived her stab wound stabs Adams in the back with a pair of scissors. Clare now free from his grasp, throws him out of an open window where he falls to his death. As the remaining surviors leave, Clare grabs a set of keys from Snake's office and unlocks the chains to the front doors. As Clare opens the doors, Jake suddenly appears clutching his bleeding chest and tells her that he will never forget you. He collapses on the floor and slowly dies from blood loss. A tearful Clare, Eli and Fiona then head outside to call the cops but a wounded and insane Adams appears to ambush them but a cop who was patrolling the grounds shoots him in the head, killing him for good.
As the sun begins to rise the next day, Clare, Fiona and Eli are loaded into the ambulence as they witness the bodies of their dead friends being carried away. Clare is relived that it is all over as the ambulence take the remaining survivors to the hospital as the fanfiction ends.
