Darth Vader, born Anakin Skywalker, was a fallen Jedi turned Sith Lord from Tatooine. He joined the Jedi Order at the age of nine and was renowned by the galaxy as a hero during the Clone Wars, at the end of which he turned to the Dark Side. Anakin, now known as Darth Vader, led the 501st Legion against the Jedi Order when he attacked the Jedi Temple. He then traveled to Mustafar, where he killed the leaders of the Separatists. Soon after this, he dueled his old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and lost. He was horrible disfigured and had to be put into a life support suit to survive. This gave him a frightening visage, which he used to great effect.
One year later, Vader led the Imperial Forces during an invasion of Kashyyyk. Here, he killed a rogue Jedi Knight and took the Jedi's son, Galen Marek, as his apprentice. This boy would prove to be his undoing, however. Sixteen years later, the apprentice killed Vader and took his place at the side of the Emperor.
Years later, his apprentice would turn on him, and the Sith Lord would be killed on the Death Star. His own apprentice would however be crippled and would later becoming the Emperor's apprentice.
A year after his death, Starkiller would create a clone of Vader. The clone would eventually complete Vader's goal of overthrowing and killing the Emperor. Although both of Vader's own children, Luke and Leia, would die by his apprentice or his clone's hand.
