Classic All-Star Mode is a game mode in the fighting video game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Ultimatum Max Edition. This mode is vaguely similar to All-Star Smash in Mob Smash, but with minor adjustments. Unlike All-Star Mode from Super Smash Bros. for 3DS / Wii U, two hidden stages were added in this mode and the player can still use continues upon defeat. But when using continues, the player is unable to reach any of the two hidden stages that were in this mode. Completing this mode will unlock the biography of the player's playable character to show in the Fighter Spirit of the Spirits List which can be found in the Inventory under Spirits. The player's opponents will use their default costume during gameplay. When defeating an opponent with his/her music theme on an exact stage playing in the exact order in this mode, the stage and music will start changing to the next stage (in a sped up version of the stage morph). All stages will be shown in Battlefield Form of this mode. Players can play this mode in either chronological or reverse order. One stage will be chosen for several characters on each of the following stages.
