Chinlea (SciiFii)
The Pacific coelacanth (Chinlea modernus) is a species of mawsoniid coelacanth fish that originally lived in the Southwestern United States states of Arizona and New Mexico during the Triassic as an extinct species of Chinlea and was once extinct, but has since been brought back from extinction by SciiFii and introduced to the modern Pacific coasts of North America to help boost biodiversity. The length of the Pacific coelacanth is normally about 1.5 meters (5 feet) long and it weighs around 68 kg (150 pounds). The Pacific coelacanth has lobed fins and a slender tail designed for a high-speed chase when hunting its prey or when escaping danger. The teeth of the Pacific coelacanth are large and sharp, designed to snatch up smaller fish such as herring and anchovies. The Pacific coelacanth is a solitary animal in most of its life, except during breeding seasons, when males and females congregate in shoals in order to mate. The conservation status of the Pacific coelacanth is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts and the Pacific coelacanth's wide range.
