Chicken Little 2: The Ugly Duckling Story is an Upcoming 2020 American 3D computer-animated comedy film, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and loosely based on the original fable of the same name. And a sequel to the 2005 animated film, Chicken Little. it was directed by Mark Dindal from a screenplay by Steve Bencich, Ron J. Friedman, and Ron Anderson, based on a story by Mark Kennedy and Dindal.
Chicken Little was animated in-house at Walt Disney Animation Studio's main headquarters in Burbank, California and released by Walt Disney Pictures on June 27, 2020, in Disney Digital 3-D (the first film to be released in this format) along with the standard 2-D version.
Chicken Little 2: The Ugly Duckling Story grossed $314 million worldwide, making it Dindal's highest grossing film as of July 2020.
Chicken Little in the middle of a love triangle between his childhood sweetheart, Abby Mallard, and a very attractive newcomer, Raffaela, a French sheep. Being at a great disadvantage, Abby would go to great lengths to give herself a makeover.
The film was originally scheduled for release on July 1, 2020, but on December 7, 2019, its release date was pushed back to June 27, 2020, the release date that was originally slated for Nickelodeon's The Loud House Movie. The release date change was also the day before 20th Century Fox changed the release date of Spy Hunter, from May 2020 to June 2020. The Loud House Movie was later released on July 19, 2020.
