Charlotte's Ghostbusters is an American science fiction comic/comedy-horror CGI-animated TV series based on the 1984 Ghostbusters supernatural comedy franchise created by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. The show, in fact, is created by Ivan Reitman, the director of the original Ghostbusters films, to introduce the franchise to a new generation. This is the third animated television series based on the franchise, following The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters. The show is not canon to the original film trilogy or any of the previous television iterations, as it sometimes features non-spectral villains.

Plot

The plot follows an anthropomorphic male Ecto-1 vehicle named Charlotte (Jeff Bennett), who was erroneously named after initially being mistaken for a female and, as a result, is the target of a running gag involving this name. He is accompanied by a new generation of ghostbusters named Dan, Harold, Ernie, and Bill. Alongside them, Charlotte confronts villainous and downright bizarre creatures.

Voice cast

  • Charlotte (Jeff Bennett) - An antropomorphic Ecto-1 vehicle who, contrary to its naming, is actually a male erroneously named. This becomes the basis of a running gag.
  • Dan (Phil LaMarr) - The leader of the new ghosbusters quartet.
  • Harold (Fred Tatasciore) - One of the new ghostbusters.
  • Ernie (Kevin Michael Richardson) - Another of the new ghostbusters.
  • Bill (Jeffrey Tambor) - Yet another member of the new ghostbusters.
