Charlie The Chocolatier is a planned 2036 American musical fantasy film, based on British novels by Roald Dahl. It is the sequel to the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, continuing the story of Charlie Bucket (now portrayed as a teenager) and chocolatier Willy Wonka.

Plot[]

At the beginning of the movie, Charlie and Joe, now the only two remaining guests, ask about the other children, and Willy Wonka assures them that they will be fine. Willy Wonka then retreats to his office without awarding them the promised lifetime supply of chocolate as a small Oompa-Loompa intern named Stuffy warns Charlie that if he takes their kind outside the factory they will be sent to an Oompa Loompa concentration camp. Meanwhile, Charlie and Grandpa Joe confront Wonka. Wonka coldly explains that they violated the contract by drinking the Fizzy Lifting Drinks, thereby forfeiting their prize. Infuriated at this, Grandpa Joe attempts to disown Wonka but he angrily demands them all to leave so he can cool off. Grandpa Joe then suggests to Charlie that he should give Slugworth the Gobstopper, but Charlie returns the candy to Wonka. After calming down, Wonka then apologizes to Charlie and in sudden excitement, he declares him the winner. He reveals that Slugworth is really "Mr. Wilkinson", an employee of his, and the offer to buy the Gobstopper was a morality test which only Charlie passed.

The trio enter the "Wonkavator", a multi-directional glass elevator that flies out of the factory. The four eliminated children leave the factory with an exaggerated characteristic or deformity related to their elimination while the Wonkavator soars though the sky. Wonka reveals that Charlie's actual prize is the factory; He explains that the whole tour was designed to help him secure a good person to serve as worthy heir to his business and Charlie was the only child whose well behaved enough to pass the test and declares his family can immediately move in. as Wonka lands the Wonkavator, he meets his 15 year old nephew Wilford Wonka. Since Charlie was the "least rotten" of the five, Wonka invites Wilfred and Charlie to come live and work in the factory with him, provided that he left his family behind. Charlie declines saying that he's only a teenager and not a full adult and running such a company at his age is prohibited. As years go by, Wilford Wonka assumes control of the factory while Willy becomes despondent, causing his company and sales to decline. He eventually turns to Wilford for advice, and he decides to help Wonka. During the reunion, Wonka realizes the value of family while his sister Wendy Wonka accepts her son Wilford for who he is and not what he does. Afterwards, Wonka allows Charlie and his family to move into the factory together. Charlie tells Wonka to have his nephew assume control. Overhearing this Wilford claims that Wonka's factory is a family business and that he shouldn't give it up. During his time in the factory Wilford (with Charlie's help) invents a new product that's similar to a Ferrero Rocher candy to compete with Cadbury and Hershey's called the Wonka Ball. This bumps up sales massively and helped keep the Wonka business up and running.
