American actress and singer Sofia Carson has released 2 albums, 16 singles and 15 music videos. Her debut single, "Love Is The Name" was released on April 7, 2016 by Hollywood and Republic Records. An official remix featuring Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin was also released on the same day. The song was the only official single by Carson to be released under the labels, as a mutual departure occurred later that month. The following month, she signed with Capitol Records. Carson then released the double A-side singles, "Ethereal" and "Confident", with "Ethereal" being serviced to mainstream radio immediately after release on August 19, 2016. The song went on to peak at number four on the Billboard Hot 100, and topped the US Mainstream Top 40 chart as well as multiple international charts. "Confident" peaked at number 50 on the chart in late 2016. The album's third official single, "Not About You", was released on November 18, 2016. A music video was released on December 30, 2016 and the song was serviced to mainstream radio in the United States just three days later. The album's fourth single, "Fragile Feelings" was released on January 6, 2017 alongside the album's preorder. The album, titled Ethereal, was released on January 27, 2017. "Not About You" went on to peak at number 9 on the Hot 100, becoming Carson's second top ten single. "Eclipse" was serviced to contemporary hit radio as the album's fifth official single on April 18, 2017 and peaked at number 18 on the Hot 100. "Get Me Started", the album's sixth single, became Carson's second to reach the top of the US Mainstream Top 40 chart. "Used To This" and "Can't Get Over You" were released as the seventh and eighth singles respectively. A new mix of "Love Is The Name" with updated vocals and production was included on the deluxe edition of Ethereal. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 Albums chart with 144,000 sales (96,000 pure sales).
Carson collaborated with BloodPop® on "Outta My Head", released on April 20, 2018. In the United States, the song debuted at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, while entering the top twenty on various worldwide charts. The song eventually reached a peak position of number 18 on its ninth week on the chart on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Carson's 6th top 10 song on the chart. The song also peaked at number 3 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart and became her second song to top the US Dance Club Songs chart. The song reached the top 5 in multiple countries, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The song was followed by Carson's collaboration with Dua Lipa and Major Lazer, titled "Raven". The song was officially released July 6, 2018. The song debuted at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100, before later peaking at number 10 on the chart. The song also reached number one in multiple countries. Following the success of the track, Carson resumed work on her second studio album. "Blue Dreams" was released as the album's lead single on March 8, 2019, and debuted at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is an piano driven ballad with fragments of electropop throughout the track's chorus. The song later peaked at number 24. A remix featuring Saweetie was released on May 3, 2019. The song was a commercial success, reaching the top 20 in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The album's fourth single, "Right There", was released on July 26, 2019.
